  1. Yesterday, I woke up at 3:30 am and drove to Julie's home. Got there around 4:15 and no one was happy to be woken up. It was one of the girls birthday so called them to a room and handed them their tickets to magic kingdom. Never have I seen eyes open that wide that quickly. I got there that quickly hoping to get out on the road early but being a household of 1 big girl and 2 small girls we didn't get out till 7. We stopped at a gas station to get some ice and I realized my wallet had been taken out of my pocket without my knowledge and placed in the house. I was given equal amounts of crap for the next three hours as I had given them for delaying us. Got to magic kingdom. The weather was beautiful. All the girls had fun. Spent absurd amounts of money on M&Ms and random crap. Drove home at 1am. Put all three girls to bed and went home. This morning I got a big thank you voicemail. It was an awesome day. Now time to study
  2. But I heard that straight hair add a veiled sound to the headphone signature sound. Please advise purchase of hair straightener.
  3. I don't have the body anymore but I think one wheel toggles between various modes and the other one allows you to pick sub settings as Nate said.
  4. On the d7000 I think it's on the left side of the lens. Press the little button and use one of the scroll wheels to change af mode.
  5. -Age - 84 -Gender - undecided -General annual income level - tree fiddy. sometimes a cookie. but depends on lunar phase and general mood of hc users. -Number of headphones owned (all types) - 2 -What you would reasonably pay bi-weekly to rent one pair of headphones - tree fiddy. no cookie. -A synopsis of your criticisms - I like big butts. You don't seem to have one. -Your criticisms, advice, and everything else you can think of - spritzer said it better than i could.
  6. Hokay. Makes sense now. Thanks
  7. Will the integrated amp be used to power the sub and the bookshelves or is a split happening inside where the plate amp is powering the sub and the integrated juices with the low frequencies filtered out are powering the bookshelves?
  8. they have a very comfortably priced package for the 2.1 system but i am not sure how the sub would get added to a 2 channel amp...any thoughts?
  9. naaman, were they supported with a sub there or were they just running them 2 channel?
  10. Happy birthday to the queen
  11. Damn those hsu speakers look very very interesting.
  12. Is it just me or does Paul Ryan look remarkably like Dom?
  13. How much room do you have? 100w/ch allows you to use inefficient drivers also or perhaps multiway designs. Depending on how you want your money to be divided up, open baffle would allow most of the money to go towards drivers. Multiway would drive cost to the enclosure and crossover components. Are you doing the woodwork yourself or paying someone else?
  14. One of the many reasons I'm envious of you.
  15. Very cool. In previous conversations you mentioned a psychotic angel but I never knew what you meant and I never had the courage to ask figuring it was something too personal. Now I understand. Not married but The first movie I saw with julie was escape from sobibor. Not schindlers list but close enough? Hopefully the theme carries with it some good luck.
  16. where is that if you don't mind me asking...
  17. extremely pleased with the dl3. just got it in the mail today and set it up a few minutes ago. it is LOOOOONG. need to reconsider the placement in my room. it looked waaay smaller in the pictures. it is nice to have a (non laptop sound card) source again.
  18. Good for you dan. Congrat.
  19. Thom is a funny guy. "Hey, I just bought you, And this is crazy. But here's my test chart, So focus, maybe?"
  20. Manual focusing ftw just get one of those katzeye screens. I never understood af either.
  21. Mike likes bikes so much that the oppo thread looks like the bike thread to him
  22. Also check for body/lens focus accuracy. If either is back or front focusing you won't get sharp images. Do you sometimes get images that are in focus? Are you checking to make sure that something on the window isn't what the af is focusing on?
