  1. i would try running a highish frequency through some frequency generator to just that speaker - something the crossover would send only to the tweeter. then try it with the speaker that seems to be ok. that should at least tell you if the tweeter is indeed bad.
  2. I don't have the appropriate tools to fix this mess. I'll try the guys that built the fonkens for me. If nothing comes of it I'll check in with Tom.
  3. A guy who is home alone, doesn't like to do dishes and whose awesome gf doesn't care Dessert was supposed to be a big home cooked chocolate chip cookie courtesy of Julie topped off with fresh strawberries, whipped cream, a scoop of vanilla ice cream and some homemade chocolate syrup. Only, I took too long to finish my he and we got hungry
  4. 0.88lb filet mignon + some brocolli Fresh squeezed OJ not pictured. (I don't like doing dishes anymore)
  5. I picked up the case today. No scratches this time but the holes for the screws for the mounting plate are completely filled in. The two halves don't mate due to the thick coating. Is there any chemical process via which everything can be returned to the way it was before? I'd rather take a chance again with painting it myself. Actually got better results with that.
  6. Ginger boiled in water to a thick liquid. Add honey to taste. Drink while warm. Tastes worse than anything you will ever taste but boy does it do the job.
  7. thats real purrty. enjoy steve
  8. i read that this morning and was about to post it
  9. Happy birthday
  10. i have procured season 2 as well today. shall watch it tonight while doing my organic chemistry problem set.
  11. got the tenba discovery mini messenger in the mail. http://www.tenba.com...-Messenger.aspx it comfortably takes my 13" macbook air, charger, d7000 with the 35/1.8 and the 30/1.4 lenses, a notebook, pencil, eraser, external portable hard drive, jh16s with room to spare. for whatever reason it feels lighter to carry than my current wenger 15" notebook sleeve which was carrying all the above barring the camera gear. perhaps it is the way it is constructed but i absolutely love it. comes with a rain cover as well which is probably going to be helpful during the sofla rainy weather. nice little pocket on the outside for a p&s or a water bottle. short version - fits all my shit perfectly and is comfortable on the shoulder and back. also got a mini display - hdmi cable for the macbook air to watch stuff on the tv. ok construction. i want to say flimsy but everything else i saw was more money. there are random white artifacts on the tv with the hdmi cable however given the infrequent use and non critical viewing, i am not too bothered by it. do i wish they weren't there? sure, but i can live with it. any thoughts on getting rid of the white spots? they come up at random times in random pixels. never the same pixel twice. also got that rocket blower thing for cleaning cameras sensors. its going back to amazon. 12 fucking dollars for a glorified air bulb that came with the debrox bottle for free. looked around for a nice place to take julie this sunday. will be exactly 6 months on sunday. can't find anything cool enough but will continue looking. valentines day is 2 days later. going to be an expensive week however, she is awesome so i shouldn't bitch.
  12. Happy birthday sir
  13. I don't mind the filler with well written stuff. For instance House, Season 1 of Prison Break, Campus (cancelled after season 1), Coupling. I like seeing characters being developed. More so the interaction between them. What makes house so great (for me) is his dialogue with wilson. I know the medical stuff is just fluff but his interactions with other characters always makes me chuckle.

    Sherlock

English tv show. Written by Stephen Moffat. Very fast, witty dialogue. Very House - Wilson, Holmes - Watson type humor which I quite enjoy. Just started season 1 but am sad to find out it only has 4 episodes =/ Anyone else watch it?
  15. Doesn't the m9 fit that description? Don't know about the film stuff but it has all the necessary dials you require.
  16. id like to be able to connect the macbook air to the tv in the house. the tv has no internet capabilities that i know of - i can find the model number and check again when i get home but last i checked there was no internet connectivity. http://www.amazon.co...28381863&sr=1-1 i could get that cable to connect the macbook air to the tv. are there any other/better options available? would like both audio and video transmission.
  17. i wasn't trying to pass off the link as funny or thought provoking. i had no clue what to say when i came across it. it was random and utterly stupid (much like a lot of stuff in the thread, hence the post). i don't think its funny and apologize if it offended anyone (I am sure it did but that certainly was not the purpose, just posted for the wtf factor) again, sorry about the post. forgive the lapse in judgment. in retrospect, it would be appreciated if a mod could delete the post...
