i dont even what to know how much online backup would cost for 20+ tb... will start buying back up drives and throwing them in the closet sad that the drives filled with expendable stuff didnt die.

they werent cds. 750gb of movies from high school etc. little over a tb of video from boston. rest music. music i dont care for...i cant get it all back again in a week. the other stuff has me bummed. might end up paying for some professional recovery service to get back the videos.

last night i restarted my computer and windows said something happened and started to run chkdsk on a drive. i let it run and left the office. this morning when i can back and logged into windows, i was welcomed with a lovely sight showing 3 of my drives had been wiped by chkdsk...good going xp. ive googled this issue and it seems to be quite common with external drives. have tried 3 recovery softwares with no results. yall have any suggestions or did i just lose 3tb of media

i only hung out with the cool kids for an hour and change but finally got a chance to meet the dragon (he kinda looks like one), ari (not as scary as all the stories made him out to be), colin (waaaay cool dude. he greeted me with something from either star wars, star trek. i shall ask him if i see him again today) and scott (super cool dude as well). as always, it was a pleasure to see the old timers again. i am a freaking local and i had to miss last nights events =/ perhaps next time. hope everyone is having fun.

any idea when you guys will be at the back room till? its about 5 minutes away from fau and i can swing by to say hello tonight. tomorrow is looking increasingly harder to attend. alternatively, any and all are welcome to stop by the office if anyone really really wants to hear the fonkens.

dad is the head surveying engineer for that ship. he gets to go on the maiden voyage oddly enough he HATES going on cruise ships for voyage surveys. he is a grease monkey and sailed on oil tankers as a chief enginner for 20+ years and feels at home on big ass oil tankers. he gets to go on cruises for usually a week at a time every other week to all these exotic places but he hates it.

i ahve everything filled out barring those 4 questions. rather fill out all the forms again than pay someone $125/hour to answer 4 questions.

new denons are 100 shipped at headroom. im just going to get those from headroom because tyll is a cool cat.

i am in the process of filing for us citizenship. am stuck on 4 questions. have called the us and indian consulate and the immigration office but only get an automated machine. i have an appointment with someone from the immigration dept but its scheduled for dec 17th. the problem is they are changing all the forms on dec 1st this year and i dont want to have to fill out all the forms again. i received a ticket for going the wrong way in my university's parking lot about 2 months ago. wasnt arrested or anything. i went the wrong way. the police pulled me over. i was given a ticket. the cop drove away. then i drove away. nothing more happened. attached is a form i have to fill out as part of the application. i dont know how to answer question 15 through 18. i dont know if the ticket qualifies as an offense. any direction in this matter would be greatly appreciated. i dont want to lie on the application as ive been told that the immigration dept denies applications for the smallest of errors. thanks, cj. immigration.pdf

dad would like to get a pair of headphones. his office has gotten very noisy so he would like something closed but for him comfort is the top priority. sound quality doesnt even matter. this is what im thinking. Denon USA | AH-D1001 budget is roughly $150 shipped. nothing over. basically looking for a closed can that is super light weight and ultra comfortable. i dont know much about closed headphones so suggestions are welcome. will certainly not be using the headphones with an amp no matter how small as he is a desktop real estate freak. source will be a thinkpad laptop so a cable stock terminated to a mini plug would be a plus. also, he will be using it in his office so cant be full sized cans like hd650s. thanks, cj.
