Kevin does the layout for the lsk170s allow the use of those nice little to-92 heatsinks that were group ordered sometime ago? I don't have any, but I'm sure some one has some laying around or that another group order would easily be organized!
I don't think that the stax should be part of the kit, since some might want two, some might want just one and that would require a lot more trouble for the distributor of the boards. The heatsinks would be nice though.
Birgir,
I think that a nice well built power supply is a must in such a design and would personally go for the best possible design, however if such a power supply means off board custom heat sinks and what not it might be a turn off for many people, myself included.
I think the price no object one is the way to go, but using easily sourced parts and on board heatsinks.
put me down for one boardset + parts, possibly two sets!
on another note: Kevin, why doesn't someone order the boards for you, everybody could save the 9% sales tax, not much on such a project, but always helps!
Thanks guys!
The greatest thing about it is that it's about 15min ride from home and I wasn't placed in the Azores! Most of the people of finish the course are placed for 4-7 years in the Azores working in the Islands towers and control centres. I got to stay home near family, friends and girlfriend. And the pay is quite nice too!
ps: Where's PAC MAN?
I'm almost one! I'll be starting my final examination sometime in September! I started the course in March 2009, having both theory and lots of simulation hours in the various components of ATC (tower simulator, radar simulator, and so on) and finished last May. Since then I've been doing on job training in Tires aerodrome, a "small" airport nearby Lisbon with lots of business jets and small pilot school cessnas! We still don't have massage therapists even though that has been given some thought!
There's a lot of people doing that with computers so you'd probably have lots of parts and stores to get liquid cooling stuff from! Or you could just get an old refrigerator compressor and put it to use!! Active cooling does always bring noise with it though!
I have one question regarding batch convertion with dbpoweramp. I selected a bunch of albums I have and the destination folder but instead of creating a new folder for each album and keeping things organized, dbpoweramp just put all the songs together in the destination folder. I have to create folders individually and then convert each album individually. Any way to do batch converting of multiple albums and still keep folders organized?
Really Nice Pictures Inu!! I'm hoping that at least one of these will be present in the next canjam or big meet. I'm thinking of a US trip next year and it might just happen during canjam.
