I should be all set really, I think I have a Context Desktop chassis that is definitely large enough. Feel free to shoot me a PM with what you've got though, I might be able to use it for something else.

I got the chassis for my buffalo yesterday, or at least the chassis that I was hoping to use. Turns out I was a little aggressive in thinking just how tight a space I could cram all this into and it's not going to work. But I guess this will allow me to select something larger that might accommodate additional modules and features in the future. If/when I get the Buffalo done I might be willing to send it around to meets like I've done with the Hertsens in the past.

What makes you say that? Granted, I think his chassis lacks creativity but generally speaking if he offers warranty and other customer support associated with the sale that price is pretty easily justified. I'd stack that amp up against just about anything in the sub $500 bracket and expect it to hold its own. At least from a design perspective I can't fault ALO for seeking out Ti, but he may quickly discover the DIY-ain't-worth-a-damn paradigm.

I'm not really sure how exotic they could have gone with caps given the extreme space constraints of the case.

Thanks Steve. Hopefully with some of the heavy fabrication work done (specifically those 2-1/2" holes) I'll be able to do more at night after Lily and Mom go to bed. Up next is getting the remaining power supply caps mounted (they go under the chassis) and laying out the 9 holes that I have to make for the pcb to mount. Maybe I'll get to throw the power switch on this sucker before Christmas.

I think that the company was purchased recently (there's a thread on HF somewhere) and that you are not alone in your issues in dealing with them. Yup, just confirmed it, they're owned by Logitech now, so I wonder how much things have changed around there recently...
