I treat slimserver much like I treat the Zune software. It's a necessary means to an end. Once you get your library loaded (which can be a bit of a pain) there's just no beating the Squeezebox interface. I haven't experience problems with speed or bugginess really, what exactly was happening?
I've had good luck with the ones from Parts Express. I used the lesser expensive type on my first beta22 but will be using the big dogs on my second, balanced beta.
Important note: they're all gold, you're just seeing the reflection of the black chassis in this picture.
Hmmm, that's interesting since they generally offer a dedicated balanced version of the modules. More research required but I wonder if the amp is really only taking half the balanced signal and still operating essentially as a single ended amp? Of the other way around when you use the single ended inputs...
They (Ice/B&O) aren't but I've got back-channel connections who've offered to help out. Not sure on the ETA but at some point in the next few months I should have access to two of the 50AXS2 modules. Now to decide if I want the result to be balanced or leave well enough alone and just get the SE version of the module...
I hope you understand that was 1 of 2 pictures. And it was just an example of the difference. I don't often find Allison hot and less since the end of Buffy.
My standards must be lower than yours.
He's one of the many reasons it's worth watching. And one word in response to your "I don't watch TV" comment: rapidshare. I can't imagine it'll be out on DVD until the summer.
Fit doesn't seem to be an issue, I'm getting a good uniform seal and external pressure on the cups doesn't change the sound in a positive way. I have found that their position on my head does make a difference and I'm not sure I've found the ideal placement yet.
