I'm sick of the new trend of manufacturers using tricks to remove functionality from technology so that they can make money off of charging you more for something that was always included for free. They spent more money working on removing the features then just including them in the first place would have cost and then have the nerve to charge more for the exact same basic technology with the restrictions removed. Its abuse of the consumer to me. Way to go to the supreme court for making it clear that jail breaking devices is now officially legal. This BS needs to stop.
True. That is also true anytime you upgrade your firmware, stock or DDWRT. If you can follow the instructions to the letter and don't skimp on the time needed to power cycle properly in the instructions, should be fine.
I also thought of Skype mobile on a smartphone (EVO 4G Skype mobile > Facetime). But otherwise, I think if you have a desktop and can afford the extra $5, this may be your best option: http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-H5D-00001-LifeCam-Cinema/dp/B002MCZJ78/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1282669503&sr=1-2
Congrats Justin!
Today, while it probably wouldn't matter much to many people here, I finally received a $300 check that was owed me from work that is going to make my life considerably more comfortable until the end of the month.
I hope your good to go, as long as the damage wasn't in shortening the life span of those output transistors. I also enjoyed hearing the LCD-2. Its probably my favorite phone of the new releases.
Just catching up, a lot of bad days were had yesterday. My condolences on your loss Steve and my sincere sigh of relief on what was lost but found Brent. I do not look forward to that ever happening to me if it does, hope time helps handle your wounds.
My internet will be a bit slow until at least the end of August. Finally got rid of Road Runner, looking forward to U-verse.
Looks really nice! I think I'll be getting that Droid X soon now. Code SMART30 will knock $30 off $199 with Verizon. Plan will cost me $61 a month, which isn't too bad really.
Saw Green Day with Blink 182 about 9 years ago at my first real concert (IMO). They threw a great show with chickens, super soakers, and mariachi band. Got to rush the stage. Lots of teenyboppers.
I would like to see John Mayer live.
Ever read the tube-cad journal? John Broskie has a ton of cool ideas for projects with Schematics posted. His Aikido designs seem like a project you can keep building on it seems with more power regulation and lots of little tweaks on board even.
Best of luck Brent with your current low point. Remember that its for the best, I'm sure you know. Hope you manage to accomplish all that you can take care of yourself and the kids.
Had a bad weekend after the Charlotte head-fi meet that made me lose a lot of faith in my own generation that I won't recap. In sharp contrast to the end of the school year, I always get excited about teaching at the beginning of a new school year when I see the students again. It helps take my mind off of how much I've been screwed over by the present vs the teachers who started before me. And it feels really good to feel productive again.
It seems there are a few factors. Matching impedance, syncronous vs. asyncronous USB, jitter, reclocking, and more small things that seem to affect some of those previously mentioned. The dedicated power supply may affect one or more of those, I'm not sure in how or in what way.
