So project Natal actually went somewhere. Nice!

I struggle with this question too Al. If only Kleer had contributed something decent for this application (with a built-in HQ mic).

Verizon isn't all rainbows and sunshine as a carrier either, with how they tend to lock down and add bloat down to all their phones and their rates are only slightly better it seems. When they get that LTE 4G network going though, I imagine its going to be very popular (in only those 24-26 areas that will get it by 2012).

Zodiac+ was at Canjam and at Canfest. It didn't help that the only high end cans I could find paired with them were the Ultrasone Ed. 8 and GS1000. Didn't sound bad AFAI could tell, but really hard to judge with what are some of probably my least favorite higher pricetag phones. I think I still have their card, I'm really happy they are putting themselves out there at the meets like they are.

So, quick question, hope I'm not out of line here. Is KG being banned going to hamper developments on the T2 and KGSSHV? I have no details on reason for or length of the ban; that is not my business. I would however really really like to see these projects continue in the community.

Is there an app for something like DLNA streaming to the touch? I know iPad and such can stream to stuff, but what about the other way around? If size weren't such an issue, I'd probably just use DVD decrypter stream options to rip the main movie all to one vob file, demultiplex the audio and video using HDBR, and use mmg in eac3to to multiplex the unrecompressed streams into an mkv file like I do on my pc. It seems the touch can handle it and the rips would be 100% quality done in about twenty mins depending on read/write speed of BD/DVD rom drive and HDD. The only problem might be that movie would be about 3.5-6 GBs space.

Its probably because its still about $80, which was higher then the original goal of $50. If you plan to record videos at your computer with it, it will be nice to have the 1080P feature. Currently, the highest chat quality of any service is 720P, which is tough for many. The fastest home internet service in NC for 90% of its residents doesn't meet the 1MB per second upload requirement to even do that sadly (roadrunner). It might be overkill unless your really trying to future proof.

Oh, enjoy the vaca Alex, sounds awesome. Just recently got into Skype since its early days for the first time last month. Was so impressed I bought a new webcam, would be really cool to have at least a one way video chat with users of Skype mobile. I know the EVO can already do a decent two-way. I've been tech geeking much more since my summer ended and I got a paycheck. Tonight's plan is to drink, setup my desktop wireless adapter as an N access point for my bridged USB wireless connection and client bridge my DD-WRT router to have sweet sweet DLNA for watching new weeds/mad men/hung episodes on the HDTV and ponder how sweet DLNA will be for the Droid X when it finally arrives.

My line of thought as well, tough stuff to ponder.

I didn't want to think businesses were adopting facetime which means employees must buy into apple closed hardware to use the software. OTOH, it seems very likely that rumors of an iPhone coming to Verizon will finally happen and soon, Apple has already admitted they have plans to soon release the iPhone to another network. Sprint and T-mobile put together don't have the user base of Verizon and it would be smart to put a dent in the biggest Droid market. EDIT: Yes, Monkey, that is a major

I had an opposite reaction to it, but don't spend much time with the HE60 or MK2. I'm about ready to admit that I'm a BHSE fanboi.

Damn, that is the touch I was waiting so long for, too cool. It was bad timing though, now that I have a Droid X on order, I can't convince myself to pay for and carry another devices with such similar functions.

and now that a number of us have it here, here is a cool hack for those using Skype to enable HQ Chat with your badass new webcam. See here for link to tool to modify config.xml and info.[url=http://forum.skype.com/index.php?showtopic=438871]

Taught classes, ate ice cream sunday, met a nice person from Federal Investigative Services back at home to interview about a friend, upgraded wireless antenna and bought accessories for new phone, friend came over with dinner, pregaming now before impromptu plans elsewhere.

Droid X I thought I had settled on the EVO 4g on Sprint, but Verizon made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Impressions? (Its pretty cheap and easy to DIY that stuff BTW)

SR-X Mk3 pro isn't fun? On a serious note, I do like the LCD-2, but I guess that wouldn't meet everyone's definition of fun either. Its more of an upgrade to the HD650 IMO. Grado are the obvious choice it seems to compliment the HD650 in rocking the fuck out. I think the PS-1 would be perfect.

I really like the Samsung F1.

I agree with The Monkeys thoughts on this matter. Its scary to me sometimes how much his thoughts often mirror my own.
