And now what did you do TODAY?
I pay to have a UPS store box. It's awesome and entirely worth it to me for the headache/worry involved with having stuff sit at the door.

Fingers crossed that he's able to fix it cheaply and effectively and Ollie is back to his old self quickly!

Google Android OS
cool on all the tablets. I'm currently pretty pissed about the Motorola caused Atrix bug where I can't use anything that uses the microphone... hope they fix it soon. I would like to be able to skype in Toronto in a few weeks.

Another run capacitor for my heat pump that is exactly like the one I'm replacing (shape as well as spec). I got one and installed (the specs were right) it for now but it's the wrong shape so I ordered another one that appears to be correct. Probably a waste but better than having the AC service company tell me I've ruined their warranty or some such

A new shifter for my backup bike after I snapped the shift padde off the bike in the last 5 miles of my ride in WV yesterday. Fucking thing was shifting like crap so I though pushing harder may help.... it didn't

Biwiring, Biamping
Well this is audio and I'd guess more than 50% of things aren't done right commercially. That said nothing that "El Doug" said was wrong or deserving of a "are you sure you understand what you're talking about?"

AC/heat unit and special order door for the backyard office, now all I need to do is buy the window as my contractor is dealing with the rest. Construction starts in under a week and hopefully in 2 weeks I'll be all set.

Biwiring, Biamping
You can not "control" the phase response of a passive filter (unless the laws of nature have changed since I studied RLC filters 10+ years ago). You can pick which response you want and what order etc but there are a lot of limits that just don't exist in the DSP space. Of course with the DSP you need to correct for the effects of the AD and DA on the phasing but it's pretty easy to do if the measurements are done. I do agree though with your statement that DSP is not easy to do right but it can and has been done by lots of people already (eg. JH, Virtualizer, Nautilus, etc)

And now what did you do TODAY?
Great news shelly.

Biwiring, Biamping
Are you? DSP can do both quite happily.

I paid the first payment on our new backyard office shed. Cedar exterior, white bead board interior, insulated with heat and AC going to be awesome. Should be done in about 2 weeks.
