  1. Happy Birthday!
  2. Nice. I haven't really been watching the ToC this year (distracted by the Giro) but it looks like it was a great race. Take it from me all the toys don't make you much faster If you do get the SRAM though I highly recommend you switch to Yokozuna cables instead of the Gore stuff, it's almost like having Di2 after that and the breaking is incredible. Mentioning bike porn I'm picking these up from my store this afternoon (the tires are getting glued on today): Though I probably can't ride them for a few weeks anyway though as I have a deal with my wife as to what I can weigh when I ride them and I've been bad over the last couple months.
  3. Desk and storage cabinet from Ikea
  4. Hope everything works it smoothly with Andrew Nate. I went in my first long outdoor ride in weeks. Felt awesome to be out on the bike for 4+ hours but now my body is basically letting mine know it is not to happy with me.
  5. Nope. I'd take a d3x over it any day of the week. Though I will be interested to see how their DxOMark ends up. Pentax 645D is the win in the same price range.
  6. Talked to a loan guy and got pre-approved for a second place in the "country" to spend weekends with the family at. Off to look at places this weekend
  7. Congrats Nate!!!
  8. Good luck Jim if you want it
  9. Panorama from our hotel room at Niagara Falls this past weekend (hence the window reflections visible) Stitched together using Microsoft Live Photo Gallery which did an absolutely outstanding job compared to Photoshop CS2 Photomerge
  10. Happy Birthday!
  11. No pads here either. Just don't leave it for weeks.
  12. Congratulations to both you and your ex-student Shelly.
  13. Nice. I use Gatorskins in the off season. They seem to be great.

  15. Happy birthday Ari!
  16. New carbon fiber handlebars to replace the set that I currently have on the "good" bike that appear to have failed around where they clamp to the stem.... WTF. Even if it costs me $200 it's cheaper than the copay if my handlebars break at high speed. I don't know if any of you caught this but if anyone needs a reminder to pay attention when riding: http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/weylandt-dies-in-giro-ditalia-crash Very very sad to have a guy die at 26 (or at any age). Made me think of all the close calls I've had "at speed".....
  17. Great News!!!
  18. Congrats Brian Raffy, those all sound like fun options. Weird you can't do it by mail anymore. You can't even mail it to the consulate? If you haven't already I'd call the consulates that do make passports and make 100% certain before buying plane tickets.
  19. Congrats to your daughter. Well if you come up to drop her off we should meet up for dinner if you like. I haven't seen any headphone friends in way too long.

I'm thinking about it Dan.... need a kid friendly camera as my giant ass DSLR is probably not going to do the trick.
  21. Sorry to hear about the lady troubles Crappy. Congrats on the money though.
  22. Happy Birthday!!
  23. Cool. Nice guitar. I go to meetings next door to their factory on Kent Island all the time.
  24. nothing... and I'm pissed: My damn wheels were supposed to be in 2 weeks ago and they haven't even shipped from Seattle as far as I can tell.
  25. Filled my bike hut (I'm going to post pictures before Steve jumps in with a joke):
