Took part in the Crystal City Challenge group ride with a buddy of mine. He should have spent more time on the bike before undertaking the challenge so we ended up leaving early as he was done after 2.5 hrs of a possible 3.5. One of these years I'm going to get to do the full ride at my own pace instead of waiting for people but I have no clue when that's going to be....

Hope things are improving in South Florida today. I fixed the bannister on the spiral staircase to our loft that has been annoying me since we bought the place 4 years ago. Been annoying me more since we moved the office to the loft and I have to go up and down the staircase daily. Feeling of accomplishment is only slightly dimmed by the issues with the paint that followed

I know this isn't the FS thread but it seems like a good place to put this up. Is anyone interested in a Sigma 150-500mm f5-6.5 OS super telephoto zoom for Nikon mount? I'm just not using it. You mean ESS right? I thought that was limited to 24/96 for the 8 channel usage. I just checked and I'm totally wrong though

On some further thought I'm sticking with what I have. If I really want to do what he's doing I could with a little work on my end since Slim server and Foobar both have a FIR plugin. Great tech though and pretty reasonable considering it has to have 3 amp stages and 3 separate DACs in it (don't know of any 24bit depth/192 multiple DAC per chip setups).

New graphics card for my desktop machine that is the best one I can get without a upgraded power supply. Also a new antenna for my wifi-N router that should be more consistent than the ones I have attached now.

Well I want one now but I would have to sell my GS-X, DAC1 and HD800 if I was going to buy them because I just don't want to have more money than I have now sitting in audio....

The cable makes a difference to the tuning? What tuning are they doing? Are they actually doing measurements on each set and getting them perfectly phase and frequency response correct? If so I really really want a set.....

I would love to come and mix in some riding in Colorado but October is way too late for that. Well that, and I'm having a kid in early October if the doctor and my wife are to believed

I have a HDFury2 to do this task but I never got it to work with my oppo other than to set the Oppo to 16/44.1 as my GEQ doesn't support anything more than a 24/96.

Great news Scott I spent yesterday morning in a meeting I'm not really sure I should have been in from a contractual point of view. Here's hoping if things go south I don't get held up for a slapping around.

This is the second set of these I have owned. The first ones were a couple generations old and at least 10x slower in the exact same installation but in an older arrangement they suited my purposes for 2/3 years. My experience has been nothing but great with the technology. The ones I just bought add some nice encryption features (so some dude can't use an exterior plug and get on your network), light control (so you can turn off the indicator lights if they are bugging you), and diagnostic software that let you learn interesting things through trial and error like the fact that phone chargers mess with the signal. Luckily not enough to limit my bandwidth for internet (still get 85/75Mbps vs 100+ with the phone chargers unplugged). All in all I highly recommend them, far superior to my attempts to use wireless repeaters to cover the whole house.
