  1. Our water heater is 17 years old and will be dealing with this question soon I suspect. I haven't begun the research on any of this yet. Our experience is that running out of hot water has not been an issue, even before my daughter left for college. In less than a year, we will be empty nesters, so the simple solution may be just another traditional water heater, unless there ends up being some other benefits involved.

  5. Gene, next year, GABF!
  6. Thanks Miguel, I may take you up on that. I think Oz may have 600's I can borrow. I will let you know.
  7. Good luck Dan!
  8. That would be a good way to describe it. I think I may need to buy some 600's or 650's for the headphone out, which is good for 200 ohms and up. I remember bringing it to a meet years ago and recall it sounding pretty good with them.
  9. My buddy Oz has had this amp for 5 years in the shop, almost never being used. I've wanted it for a long time but the retail at the time was $5500 with the dac option. The exact same amp today on TTVJ, without the $750 dac option retails for $7800. If I buy it, I will pay less then half todays retail price with a full factory warranty. It does sound great. As much as I like the McCormack, when I went back to it on Monday, the Brinkmann was just better. And no, I needed to be able to sell the McCormack to help pay for the Brinkmann.
  10. Thanks Al, I will check tonight. There is sound coming out of the right channel but there is also a sound that is like if someone was blowing into a mic, not loud but there. I'm pretty sure this was operator error.
  11. Since I need a new amp now I'm considering this:
  12. I f'd up my McCormack amp. I was messing with the cables and one of them sparked when it touched one of the RCA inputs. I think I am going to stick it in the crate and just put it in the attic and write it off as a loss.

The beer selection is superior at the Falling Rock but do they have Cricket Burgers?
  14. Cool use for the iPad: http://www.nytimes.com/2010/09/15/dining/15ipad.html?_r=1&emc=eta1 The restaurant in the article, Bones, is an excellent steakhouse in Atlanta.
  15. I would rather go to this than RMAF but Jp is still dealing with that HF CanJam nonsense so RMAF it is. Check out the Cigar City Beer offerings.

I want a Cricket burger at Duffy's Cherry Cricket.
  17. Like Shelly, I waited a bit too long to have it done. He blew some air on the tooth to see how hot the nerve was and I almost jumped out of the chair. The procedure was mostly but not completely painless. He had to give my 3 shots to get me numb enough to do the procedure. He is a friend of mine and his exact quote after he was done was, "Mike, this is going to hurt like a motherfucker later.". I just took one of the percocets he prescribed. Scott, sorry to hear about the truck. Shelly, I hope you figure out that paper.

  22. Those are beautiful Jim. Enjoy!
  23. Computer audio works like a charm for me. Any headaches I get are from drinking too much without rehydrating after an 18 mile run.
  24. I don't think I would recable the 800's. They sound just fine with the stock cable.
  25. I always liked the SAA cables but bought them used.
