Mine has to go back as soon as they get some new ones at the ATT store. My battery dies in 5 hours with 3G turned off and no phone calls made or received. I should add that the remote works great.

I don't want anyone to go too far out of the way to get me. I have no problem with taking a train. I want to try to coordinate with Vicki for the return flight if she is leaving Sunday.

I've found a chink in my wife's armor. She seems to be cool about me coming up for this meet. It's not 100% but close. I can fly in BWI for free with a ticket from Southwest. Is there a train or bus that will get me to where I would need to be? I'm leaning towards arriving at 5:20 pm 8/1. Vicki, when are you leaving to head back to Florida?

I lined up at the ATT store about 7:15 and was out by 9:15 with a black 16gb. Got to my office to complete activation and that took about 20 minutes. Another 15 or 20 minutes to get my outlook to sync (my fault for not getting all the setting right at first). I just loaded a bunch of music on and installed the remote, which I will try later. So far, so good. I just need to get a case before I drop it.

Billy, I use 3g everyday down here and it works fine. Anywhere I've used Edge, it's sucked for the most part.

Dusty is correct. If you have an iphone and want to upgrade, you pay the upgrade price ($199 or $299) and a new 2 year contract. You keep the old iphone.

I'll take my chances with 6am. I'm up anyway, so I can just drive over, grab some coffee at DD and listen to music. They say that stock will be replensihed daily so if not tomorrow then Saturday.

I think I'm heading over to the ATT store early tomorrow. The question is how early.

Check out the Channel Islands phono. You can get them used for around $300 or $350. It's a decent phono stage.

I just spoke to the seller. He is a cabinet maker and said that there is no way the crate broke unless something very bad was done to them. He is contacting UPS about the claim. I'm trying to get him just to take them back and deal with it and refund my money. I have to send him pics of the damaged cap which is sending to Quicksilver. He sent me a pic of them in the crate:

Thanks Nate. If the guy isn't will to take them back but offers to pay for repair, I would probably send to Quicksilver for the repair. It's going to be hard for UPS to say they repacked them properly. However, they will maintain that it's not their job and the seller should have packed them better originally. I've only dealt with a Fedex claim so I have no idea how UPS will handle this. My position is that it's the seller's problem since his original packing crates failed (at least I assume that is why they were repacked in a UPS box).

On one amp, a cap is dented and bent and the other is loose. The other amp looks okay. The seller built a crate to pack them in for shipping. My guess is that the crate broke and UPS dumped them in the box. It's a UPS box and the shipping label looks like it was cut off the other box and taped onto this one. I really don't even want to plug them in. I'm hoping the seller takes them back.

I love the chair. I wish it the seat was a bit higher but other than that, it's great.

My wife bought me a Poang chair and ottoman from Ikea. She gave it to me on Fathers Day but it was meant to be for both. My inlaws gave me a Gilette Fusion handle from The Art of Shaving. My daughter sent me a gift certificate for a shave at The Art of Shaving store in Aventura, which should be cool. I bought too much stuff for myself including a pair of Quicksilver 8417 monoblocks and a Nugget Audio B22, 4 pairs of IC and speaker cables. Nate, I hope the checks clear. Nate, Todd, which one of you guys told me about Robert Silk? He just got back to me and has a bunch of new 8417 tubes for $120 a matched pair. He asked who referred me and I told him I would get back to him.
