I have the HR stands and believe that raising them has made a difference. Instead of being below my ears they are on level with them. I don't listen to seriously at my work desk as I'm usually doing something else but I do believe that what I do hear is better as a result of using the stands.

I had a pair of these in my system a few years back, on loan. They are sweet. I've been nervous about them due to the 8417 tube being out of production. This pair is alleged to be pretty much unused. Whether they cook or smoke the Hibachi's, we will see.

David, Happy Birthday!

Vicki, congrats on the job, I know you have been working hard towards it for a while now. I'm limited to speakers in my office. I have too many people bothering me during the day. It would be nice to be able to crank up the volume a bit which I could do with headphones. It's always nice to have an excuse to look for a new rig.
