  1. Poor wee thing, best wishes to her I've just accepted and sent my yearly taxes declaration. They should return me 1600+ euros This is a good chunk of the 009s cost. Eventually
  2. Just to be sure, the demo/review unit is a D100 or a mk2?
  3. Very nice items. Enjoy them. Congrats to the maker and the owner
  4. Best wishes Shelly. Hopefully hubby has a good response to iv antibiotics and avoids surgery. I agree that the immunity suppression for the infection may have helped the shingles, and these have covered some of the intestinal symptoms. Anyway, no peritonitis, no perforations... we're still doing great. Good luck and have some rest yourself madam
  5. Is it today or was it in February? Anyway, be happy Colin
  6. Happy belated B-day. Was it good? I wish so
  7. I wish you had a great one. Sorry for being this late to the good wishes.
  8. Very Happy yet very belated birthday I hope you had a great day!
  9. Oscar Peterson - Meets Roy Hargrove and Ralph Moore with NHOP and Lewis Nash
  10. OK, I'm in. I'll try to get some more European pals signed in
  11. Hehehehe, you look too English for a Scottish on that pic Doug
  12. Sure, just a couple of things of not getting in this time. It had been great sharing the new toy joy with all the friends, and it's possible I have a tough time to get such a good price (even considering the outrageous customs policies around) again. Who knows, maybe I'm glad I didn't, it's possible they're not as good as we're expecting, or eventually not worth that kind of money (Not even in a nightmare, I'm sure they're gorgeous)
  13. I'm really busy and I've been out of this thread -and most of the site- for a few days. It will have to be like this for the next 10 days Congrats for the great deal to all purchasers. I should have been in. Oh well, I'll have to live with a vicarious experience. I wish you get those 009 soon.
  14. Oh Doug, sorry for the delay, I wish you had a great one. Happy Belated Birthday!!!!
  15. Happy Bday
  16. Oh thanks for the info. I have other priorities at this point, eventually including 009, but once those things are sorted out and the toying fury strikes again...
  17. Shipping insurance within Europe will increase cost, of course, but I can't say by how much, probably to make it about 2x or 3x compared to registered post. I'm not talking about DHL, MRW and all those companies which would increase cost significantly. In my case I wouldn't mind covering that expense myself for having the chance to try the DAC.
  18. I didn't mean to sound offensive, for me it would be one more toy in the audio stash. No real use for it other than toying and having fun.
  19. Looks like a funny toy. Whenever they sell it without the headphones and at a more interesting price, I might bite.
  20. In Europe the expected retail price will be more in the 4400-4900 euros range if imported though a distributor. If purchasing directly to Japan, even including shipping, taxes, VAT then I'd expect it to be a bit under 4000 if you manage to by-pass Customs. Otherwise...
  21. I can wait if the price is really interesting. As a matter of fact I will wait nonetheless
  22. Fantastic news Al, still sending positive energy
  23. Yep, import taxes are an issue, that's why I think a good entry port could be UK for I have the idea (maybe wrong, so any UK pal may confirm) they have a more relaxed control. Once the device is in EU, no taxes, just shipping cost. I could give a hand with any Spanish candidate who might be interested. Some people reading this forum are members on the Spanish forum "Auriculares.org", so it's possible I know them.
  24. For me it wouldn't be a significant savings, since I'd need to add shipping to Europe and eventually Customs expenses. That price is about MSRP in Japan, which I hope can be lower, perhaps waiting some time. But for you Americans looks pretty good.
  25. Europe isn't that big, and shipping expenses shouldn't be very high for a relatively small parcel. It'd be required that participants tried to arrange the waiting list in order of proximity to make shipping cost lower. So the parcel could travel from US to UK or Iceland then going to the next closer participant. You'd just need to set the rules, trial term, checking participants identity and good will, etc. Just like you'd do within the US but across the Pond.
