  1. In Europe the expected retail price will be more in the 4400-4900 euros range if imported though a distributor. If purchasing directly to Japan, even including shipping, taxes, VAT then I'd expect it to be a bit under 4000 if you manage to by-pass Customs. Otherwise...
  2. I can wait if the price is really interesting. As a matter of fact I will wait nonetheless
  3. Fantastic news Al, still sending positive energy
  4. Yep, import taxes are an issue, that's why I think a good entry port could be UK for I have the idea (maybe wrong, so any UK pal may confirm) they have a more relaxed control. Once the device is in EU, no taxes, just shipping cost. I could give a hand with any Spanish candidate who might be interested. Some people reading this forum are members on the Spanish forum "Auriculares.org", so it's possible I know them.
  5. For me it wouldn't be a significant savings, since I'd need to add shipping to Europe and eventually Customs expenses. That price is about MSRP in Japan, which I hope can be lower, perhaps waiting some time. But for you Americans looks pretty good.
  6. Europe isn't that big, and shipping expenses shouldn't be very high for a relatively small parcel. It'd be required that participants tried to arrange the waiting list in order of proximity to make shipping cost lower. So the parcel could travel from US to UK or Iceland then going to the next closer participant. You'd just need to set the rules, trial term, checking participants identity and good will, etc. Just like you'd do within the US but across the Pond.
  7. Best wishes to MOTTOTU. You owe yourself a proper celebration when she's well and moving is finished. Hopefully very soon.

  14. He's referring to the Headamp Gilmore Lite (now discontinued) or the GS-1. Those use the Dynalo circuit in SE. This same circuit in balanced, if I'm not wrong, is the Dynamid. You can try to DIY, circuit and parts needed are still available. There's a Chinese manufacturer making a version on the cheap the Sheer Audio HA-006.
  15. My suggestion: iTouch or iPod (I use ALAC but use whatever pleases you) --> LOD --> Pico Slim --> Audio Technica ESW10. Since these have been discontinued, ESW9 can be a nice second best option. This is what I use when on-call and leisure trips.
