  1. Do you need a High res pic of the HP-2's lettering? You'll need black paint too
  2. Of course, otherwise they not even would sell all the HD800 that have already produced to attend the initial demand.
  3. If it sounds really good I'm sure they'll do, otherwise all what I guess they spent in R&D, I don't think is profitable enough if just implemented into 1000 euros cans. This kind of product doesn't reach really major sales figures IMO.
  4. It depends on whether they release a 680 -or any other number- using the same driver into a more Sennheiser classic frame, selling at about USD600-800, or not. My take is Sennheiser will try to have a statement product competing with Stax top tier electrostats, GS-1000, and Ultrasone Ed9, then a 2nd tier to fight D7000, DX1000, RS-1, etc which could be a next to release product based on the top of the line technology (like many speaker makers do), and keeping their popular lines, perhaps getting rid of the HD600 or 650 depending on which one is selling worse or generating less profit.
  5. I've been thinking that there was also a strong rumor that some HD680 were going to be released. Someone even posted a link to Sennheiser USA site where there was a blank page ready to hold 680s. I wonder, were that true, if in a few months Sennheiser will be releasing this new ring radiator driver into a more classic frame a la HD6xx for a more affordable price. Maybe they'll just wait to have everyone on the planet raving about the new driver and its wonderful sound, and after a few hundred units are sold, then releasing the new technology for the masses. Anyone betting?
  6. You are very welcome mate. We'll see, fortunately I've learned not to have high expectations about anything, so whatever they do right will be good. The worst part will be dwelling into the orthos threads to learn how to tweak them if I find it's necessary
  7. I've just taken the plunge on the Fostex T30 Faust3D had for sale. Orthos team, here I come
  8. Truly astonishing Naamanf, congratulations for such built on your car. I hope it sounds terrific
  9. Antony and the Johnsons - The Crying light (2009) The first disc released this new year that I've managed to get for listening so far. I'm on track 2 right now. I'm liking it, it's on the same vein of their previous works.
  10. X2 Specially the DL-103 part, now that I know it has a Stanton cart mounted.
  11. That would be wonderful Birgir. Maybe a rent with purchasing options?
  12. Jay Ungar & Molly Mason - The Lovers' Waltz [1997] Courtesy of Guzziguy through the Xmas Xchange. Wonderful recording Thanks Ken
  13. Trying to self convince you sir? I for one haven't had previous fully satisfactory experiences with electrostats, cans or speakers, so my interest is quite limited, however I admit that listening to a properly amped pair of O2 is something I'll have to do at some point. The problem is that I have acquaintance to no one over here with such system. Hence I'd have to build the system by buying it, trying it at length and then deciding Would someone in Europe rent to me a kosher O2 system for one month? We could arrange the fee
  14. If I were to use a balanced XLR output to use RCA wires to feed a SE amp-preamp input, I'd get one of these Very affordable and keeping one of the advantages of balanced operation which is keeping common noise rejected. However if you're looking for XLR wires, good and affordable, then my suggestion would be a pair of Van den Hul D102 balanced. Nice wires for the money. Moreover I have a contact in Holland who can sell them at very good prices.
  15. We try to buy at US and Japan online stores which usually have better prices, specially now that USD and Yen aren't very strong against euro. I care about music and I like thinking that the money I spend in a CD helps the artist to keep his/her work, but I hate the idea of feeding the big music companies that much. I avoid buying discs at 16-20 euros (average price of new releases in most department stores, which have been shrinking their music sections more and more in the last three years) if I haven't heard them before and I know for sure they're worth every penny. I think people are downloading most of their music for free. In Spain any HDD, memory card, CD-R, DVD-R, DAP... whatever physical media to hold data -hence music-, and the devices to burn it, pays a fee -they call it "canon"- to the Spanish equivalent of RIAA, named SGAE. They take as fact you'll be using it to hold pirate films and music Here it's not a punishable guilt the fact of downloading music using P2P, or making your copies, unless you're making a profit from it. But as far as they blame it for the music sales drop, they charge everybody with that damn fee to support the SGAE and the bastards ruling it. Funnily enough the proceedings from that fee are shared among the artists considering their sales, so probably the ones being more downloaded, who should get more compensation, aren't being more paid... IMHO the sales drop is related to free downloads for a big part, but also for people caring less and less for music as in albums, and being more prone to get individual songs that they like. It's amazing that ringtones are selling a lot.
  16. LOL, boys you crack me up hahahaha
  17. Wow, I bet you haven't met many Spaniards then hehehe
  18. So you need to open the PS and change the bias for the Koss or for the Stax depending on which ones you prefer to use... not very handy, but better than not having selectable bias nonetheless.
  19. OMG I had better kept my fingers still on the KB hahaha
  20. Does his BH feed different bias to the Koss than for the Stax?
  21. Hahahaha, good joke. I haven't done anything worth of that award. Not even to deserve a custom title, so go figure
  22. Since I haven't been in HC for the whole 2008 I resign to any rights I might have to propose nominees or voting for the current ones. However I want to congratulate active HC members for making this site one of the worthiest to be part of.
  23. Listening a few tracks online at [url=http://www.myspace.com/manuelcomesana]Manuel Comesa
