  1. Sent my final payment for Eddie Current ZDT today (sold my Edition 9 and O2 Mk2 for that). It ships tomorrow!
  2. I bought one of those for my HF-1 a while back and it was very nice - worth it for sure. I think I bought a spare one as well, for my woodied recabled SR-60, but I misplaced it.
  3. What was wrong with the CSS the first time around?
  4. I got mine in today - looks pretty flat.
  5. happy getting old day!
  6. Air New Zealand - advert, behind the scenes, and bare essentials safety video wearing nothing but body paint: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elD38pJX7iE]YouTube - Air New Zealand staff have nothing to hide[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GnhVcD74i14]YouTube - Air New Zealand staff have nothing to hide - behind the scenes[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-Mq9HAE62Y]YouTube - Bare essentials of safety from Air New Zealand[/ame]
  7. I agree ranks can change with source/amp/music. I think HD800 ranks up there with my O2, HE60, and other hi-end stats.
  8. I could build a supressor out of a 2 liter coke bottle and steel wool, but without a licence or tax stamp it would be illegal.
  9. I just got my email today from OPPO notifying me of the release.
  10. That was exactly my problem with the Amperex "Bugle Boy" GZ34 rectifier in my WA6 at first - but the "pseudo dual power supply upgrade and Sophia Princess 274b rectifier fixed all of that, and vastly improved the separation and soundstage as well (it needed about 80 hours for the tube to settle down, but only 20 hours to sound better than before).
  11. That's fantastic. to micro$oft
  12. I almost dropped my Gamma Pro drivers into the SR-5NB gold edition, but the SR-5NB sound too good to mess with. So, instead I sent the GP to Semggy for 6 months to get them turned into "Smegma Pros" (wood cup Gamma Pro). I picked up the O2 Mk1 ear pads at Audiocubes.
  13. This is Boo Boo Kitty - 4 years old this August. He likes headphones. He hates skunks - his faded or brown color in some of the photos is after using H2O2 and baking soda to get out the smell...
  14. Agreed - a woo amp would be a great choice. I love my maxed WA6 which has some some additional upgrades (pseudo dual power supply and Sophia Princess rectifier). With all the mods and tube upgrade it goes for about $1200 USD, and sounds fantastic with the RS-1, any other Grados, and even HD600/HD800. Side by side with a $2,200 Zana Deux it holds it's own and to me sounded just as good.
  15. I'd like to see a photo of the inside of the case... Please.
  16. The bad part is that a suppressed .45ACP is still pretty loud due to the large bore (even though it is subsonic), and a "wet" suppressor will reduce the .45 sound levels to more a more reasonable "safe" level than a dry suppressor. A suppressed .22LR is fairly quiet with subsonic ammo (pitch and tone is like an air gun, although that's 117dB peak), and a 9mm is only a little louder than that (126dB) and still with a pitch and tone like an air gun. But the .45 seems to still have some boom to it (as does my supersonic 5.56x45 AR15 SBR with suppressor). See Silencer Talk for more information (I am ColoradoPacker there), but have only posted a couple of times in the past 2 years after I got all my suppressors. Since I went on total disability 2 years ago I haven't bought another gun or suppressor, and you take too much of a loss selling them (you don't get your $200 tax stamp back, and they depreciate).
  17. We wish you had as well!
  18. I got this back in 2007 and have it set up as a 3-caliber kit -- with .22LR barrel/slide threaded for suppressor (not in photo), 9mm threaded for suppressor, and 40 caliber (no .40 suppressor yet). With 2 mags for each caliber, an LED light and Crimson Trace laser grips, and night sights. My 9mm suppressor is the AAC EVO-9, and for the .22 I have the Gemtec Outback II and an LCW Predator. When I took the photo I had both .22 suppressors in another case with my Walther P22 and Beretta .22 Bobcat, but I had a baggie of .22 ammo in the slot for the .22 suppressor. I do plan to pick up an M&P one of these days, and will have to look for a threaded barrel at that point. Cheers!
  19. I guess I have been very lucky - 10 years ago my doctors told me I'd be dead in 5 years. Since I'm only 47 years old, I guess I wont die till I hit 50...
  20. Thanks! That pretty much matches the description of placement that I emailed them.
  21. I did email him before I posted here, and he replied to my questions. I just need to save up the money now.
  22. Can you share any of that art with us, so I can make sure it comes out right when they do my flying lady logo? I saw a photo of the IEM for another customer and didn't like the way it was placed very much. If you like you can send a copy to larry at jesusreigns dot org - if you could it would be greatly appreciated!
  23. Thanks, I appreciate the extra info. I'm trying to decide if it's worth selling my APS V3 RS-1 (s/n 667) to pay for the mods, but I haven't decided yet. I think eventually I will do it, but I prefer to not have to sell anything if waiting will buy me time to save up the money.
  24. I feel like I missed something - in almost 2 years I've never heard of a zobel or why stax transformers would be a problem for an amp like Beta 22. It's like I'm a newbie all over again. Can someone explain this in a little more detail, and say when we need to be more careful or concerned in matching an amp to a transformer box?
