Weird, I thought they were only announced a couple of months ago.

Ok, I'm totally confused, isn't the MF X-Can V8 stuff relatively new? If so why are there posts from 2006 talking about them?
-
There may be something happening late April or early May if you interested.

You coming to PEI to listen to his?

Aren't the AD2000 around $600 at Audio Cubes? I'm not familiar with AKG's pricing are the K601's that much?

It was the older 9V Micro Stack not the newer stuff. Mackay Maus picked them about a year ago, they were included in a couple of boxes of demo gear Headroom sent for a meet we had about a year ago, he decided to keep those. If I remember correctly those retailed for $299 each and were reasonably well regarded, especially the DAC. -
I was listening to a pair of SR60's with flats the other day, I had forgotten how good those phones are and with flats they're really nice. I've been toying with the idea of picking up a pair for around home and now I see this, I'm seriously tempted to try it on either 60's, 80's or MS1's. Does Cody do recabling on them as well?

Biggie, I believe the Micro stack combo retails for $600 for the pair so only a $100 more than the Pico. Regardless though, I pretty much agree fully with your assessment of the two, the difference between them isn't subtle. -

LOL, was that your reaction to the 650's or something off camera? -

Heh, from your lack of reaction I thought you didn't really like it. -
An update for anyone interested, I received a pair of Sleek Audio SA6's last night and initial impressions are quite positive. They're quite tiny, light and very comfortable.

It's sad but true. MLSE sure are making it hard to be a fan.

What's even odder is hoping your team loses so they don't get the illusion yet again that they might actually make the playoffs and make some silly trade at the deadline for the "push" only to fall flat on their face missing the playoffs by a point or two thus screwing themselves out of a playoff berth and a top 10 pick at the draft.

No lag here at work or at home. At work I have a keyboard, optical mouse, iPod and the Pico all plugged in via USB.

I guess it depends on what you look at as bottom. I mean the poles are pushed almost to the bottom so that the headphone would be close to the smallest position.

The Audio Technica 3D wing design while reasonably comfortable never seemed to quite fit right, always felt big and a bit loose on my head so I found myself constantly adjusting them. There are some others that I can't quit think of but they've had similar, although not the same, headband designs as the 531's. Even my RS-1's I had almost down to the very bottom.
-
Do you know what they fit like? I apparently have a very small head because I've had problems with fit in some designs, looking the DT531's I can't tell exactly what they might be like in this regard.

Well I sent off an email to SF Marketing and have yet to get a response but considering the info in this'>http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f4/my-se530s-broke-again-i-need-your-help-287409/"]this thread I'm not holding out much hope. I've been talking with Jason at Sleek Audio about their newly available SA6 IEM, it's seems like a very interesting, well thought out design that's worth a try. I was also thinking about trying a cheaper full-sized headphone, an HD580 would probably be the best in the $100-150 range but I've been there, done that. I'm not opposed to giving them another try but I also think there may be others like maybe Beyer's DT531 or the AKG's K240 which I haven't heard yet. I've seem to remember hearing that the new DT770's are much more balanced than before and might be worth a shot as well. What are peoples thoughts on those? They would go in conjunction with something like the SA6 or another IEM in that general price range but I'm still open to hearing any suggestions for something more expensive that might meet my preferences.

One of either the DT531's or HD580's interests me but finances are up in the air at this point. By the way, I didn't notice in your post originally that you were looking for offers just that it was an interest check.

I'm betting that popcorn isn't for the review.

Heh, I just posted a link to that thread in the "This Is What's Wrong With Head-Fi" thread. -

Mine never updated either, I don't think, at least for international shipments, that the number provided is actually a tracking number per se, I think it's more of a delivery confirmation system.
