That truly sucks! Never a good time to get news like that but I always wonder why so many find out during the holidays. Inglorious bastards! Wow, what a week. Trust Bugsey is doing fine and wishing your wife a successful surgery as well as a full and complete recovery.

I had a 17" Dell Inspiron 9300 prior to my Macbook 13". 17" is stupid overkill and unwieldy for portable use. Oddly, I have not missed it, but then again, I'm not watching movies on it either. 13" is easy to tote and plenty of screen for me.

Cool beans! Glad to see you and Bugsey reunited. Now for a rapid and complete recovery.

Glad to hear bugsey's surgery went well and he is recovering nicely. It'll be nice to get him back home Monday.

Dash has been sick ... really sick. Hasn't shared what it is, and his last PM was obviously not easy for him to post. The exchange can wait. Wishing Dash a full recovery.

It is difficult to predict weather here as it comes across Lake Michigan. The big lake is like a small sea affecting the weather. But three television stations (2 meterologists, 6 meterologists and 3 meterologists) + the local National Weather Service office all agreed. Normally there is a dissenting voice, but not this time. Assuming the NWS has at least one meterologist on staff, that's a dozen trained weather forecasters who missed it. Ahhh, not so bad to have a job where you are paid well to be wrong a good share of the time.

Day 2 of the blizzard warning. Theywere off by a solid 12+ hours in their forecast. Had maybe an inch last night but woke up to 6 or so inches of snow on the drive this morning. Still coming down, and the wind is whipping it around - hence the blizzard warning. My bride is a teacher and the school has a snow day (no school). At least I won't have to blow the drive today:D

Our first major storm was last weekend and we're under a blizzard warning starting at 1:00 pm and lasting for the next 24 hours. I'm still trying to figure out how Michigan can have a blizzard, but there you have it. Forecasting 12 inches of snow out of this storm. Looking outside at the moment it looks like the rain did finally turn to a light snow. Maybe the National Weather Service and our local weather experts will be wrong once again...

First day back to work in a week. Good to not be sick.

I use a Many Moons buckwheat hull pillow. Guess I'll have to try a memory foam pillow for those few nights the Many Moons isn't comfortable.

The most comfortable chairs in my home. They are the chairs everyone who visits wants to sit in, and they never give them up. The tension adjustment can be a problem area (easy to repair). Leather quality could be better but they have held up remarkably well. The real question is would buy them again? Yep.

Or they're making your loan more attactive to sell. Common tactic...make a great refi offer to a current customer, close the deal and sell the loan within the next 90 days. It's happened to me twice ... but I benefited each time and I really don't care who holds the mortgage. There's always someone to service the loan as Countrywide customers have found out.

Rush Power Windows

Came home from work sick at noon today. Pulled into my driveway just as the van from the furniture store arrived. Good timing except the turds were supposed to call prior to coming to the house. Tried to sleep but couldn't. Decided to watch a movie. I had never seen Lawrence of Arabia. Just finished and I'm totally blown away. To say they don't make 'em like that any more is an understatement ... and sadly so.
