I really don't know what the plan is for this weekend, or if Marc is going to be living there anymore, etc. Does somebody have a list of some hotel or motel options close to wherever it would be good to be close to? How many people are actually planning to see the races and how many of those already have tickets?

Oktoberfest 2012 started out rainy and overcrowded but I managed to have several liters of beer, some pretzels and roast chicken, and fun. After a slow start, I hung out with some 20-somethings from Ohio and Michigan and France. I never made it into one of the tents, but the spent most of my time in the bier gartens at Paulaner and Hacker. Good times but lousy pics.

Hamburger in Hamburg, complete with bacon! Plus fries and a couple of Erdingers.

Monkeys at play sounds like a great day.

Feeling lucky not to have beer allergies or ulcers, and hoping everyone else is feeling better. Being in Mayberry gor the first time in about two months and having cocktails are elevating my mood and feeling of well being.

I wasn't aware of the thread, but I just had a little toasted sourdough with pepper jack. Earlier, I had some Basque Sheep's cheese, which was moar Basquer and moar better.
