  1. Look at you and your wild life! Have a fantastic birthday Mr. DIYer! Too bad we weren't all together for it like last year, but you have a great present about to enter the world so I guess we can let you off the hook. Cheers!
  2. My nightcap is a Germain Robin XO. Nice beverage.
  3. Young Man Cocktail 1 Dash Angostura Bitters. (1 dash Angostura Bitters) 2 Dashes Curacao. (1/2 teaspoon Senor Curacao) 1/4 Italian Vermouth. (3/4 oz Perucchi Italian Vermouth) 3/4 Brandy. (2 1/4 oz Maison Surenne) Shake well and strain into cocktail glass. Add olive or cherry. Cherry, puhlease!
  4. Seth is clearly a class individual because he is buying from Smegs. My response makes perfect sense. And I have been drinking.
  5. There are two watches pictured, but I have to imagine you mean the Panerai because it is stunning and you might not even notice the Suunto after seeing it. Beautiful choices Jeff.
  6. Japalac looks promising in a weird way. The rum Alexander looks very tasty, and I can see why you sloshed it down quickly. The brandy version aint half bad neither.
  7. Welcome Seth. You made a good choice ordering T-Pants from Smeggy, and you should look around Head-Case, get to know it a bit, and also make good choices about how you post here at first. We're quite a bit different from the norm, but plenty of fun if you get the gist. Oh, and thanks for the pink Dalek cake comment. I found that avatar for Smegs who has used Dalek pics for years. Cheers!
  8. Barnum (was right) Cocktail according to Jim but with Fees Old Fashioned Aromatic Bitters
  9. Yolanda Cocktail 1 Dash Grenadine. (1 splash Fees Grenadine) 1 Dash Absinthe (1 healthy dash Versinthe Absinthe) 1/4 Dry Gin. (1 oz Old Raj Gin) 1/2 Italian Vermouth. (1 oz Perucchi) 1/4 Brandy. (1 oz Maison Surenne Cognac) Stir well and strain into cocktail glass. Squeeze Lemon Peel over glass and drop in.
  10. Pliny the YOUNGER at City Beer. Gotta love them taking care of their regulars.
  11. Lucinda Williams -- Blessed
  12. Middle Brother
  13. Even better when you combine them into one:
  14. The Baseball Project -- High and Inside Panda and the Freak is pretty awesome, and was clearly written before the Giants won the Series. Funny stuff.
  15. The Rural Alberta Advantage -- Departing
  16. Duh. Metric Halo.
  17. Lot B is the shizz. Perfect for amp buying time!
  18. There's a sucker drunk every minute . . . I cleverly grabbed the R&W from Mayberry yesterday so that will be the next greatest drink on earth. For now, a Clement two-fer: Fair and Warmer .75oz Perucchi Italian vermouth 1.5oz Clement white rum 2 dashes Curacao (.5 tsp) Stir and strain with a cherry to garnish. Rum manhattan is ok by me! Third Rail Cocktail #2 1 dash Versinthe absinthe (compliments of blessingx) 1oz Clement white rum 1.5oz Germain Robin XO brandy .5oz Pommeau de Normandie Should be equal parts rum, brandy and calvados but I didn't have calvados so I went with more brandy. Damn fine and very spiritous cocktail.
  19. Touché mon ami! By pure coincidence I had just snapped a pic with a sword cocktail pick in a pompous crystal bowl glass. Joburg Cocktail 5 dashes Fees orange bitters 1.5oz Clement Martinique white rum 1.5oz Lillet blanc as Capertif substitute Lemon peel
  20. Of course, mine was originally my grandfather's, so it all makes sense.
  21. Thought about picking it up at K&L and Cask a number of times but never have.
  22. Nice Jim! It's practically like being at my house (although I only have 1 King Cube). Enjoy!
