I took a listen to the webcast signal when I got home.  Man, that whine is horrendous.  Furthermore, the hum is present when most of the station equipment is powered off, so clearly the source is not in the main studio, but something in the production studio where the webcast encoding computer is located.  I sent off an email to the general manager of the station, but I haven't heard back yet.  Hopefully we can sort this situation out before next Friday.

I've been off the air for nearly 3 years at this point.  So today I did the logical thing and pay Native Instruments to upgrade from Traktor Pro 3 to 4.  So far the experience has been absolute misery

HAH.  Just got an email from Mixclown: "Test Tone 03/12/21 is now 19th in the global Idm chart."

Welp, last two weeks have been a headache with regard to showreels.  Two weeks ago, while attempting to connect the mic to my mixer, I jostled the Thunderbolt cable enough to cause a momentary disconn

It does kind of ruin the mood of those tracks a little.  :)

Wait, you listened to it when you got home, so when the station was off the air?  Yeah, that was ridonculous, but try listening when there's something playing, it's not as bad.

...but you pick such great tunage, that it's still worth listening to, and doesn't take completely away from the overall vibe.  I think I'd find it more tolerable on speakers, for some reason, but on the Sony MDR-V6's, it was quite the BUZZwound.  Did you notice it is inversely proportional to the energy of the track?  Almost like it's autoducked.

Sup, Heads? My radio show is ffffffinally on the air, in Case you wanted to listen.

It's "Casino Night" in the AmhCol Campus Center, so I how to show my ID to get let in.  blink.gif

Also, did you just call yourself 'Knuckledragger'?  I don't think I've heard you do that before.

EDIT:  Yes, yes, you just did it again.  Wasn't sure if 'Knuckledragger' extended outside of head-case.  'DJ Knuckledragger', I like it.  Or is it just, 'Knuckledragger'?

Yeah.  "Knuckledragger" has been my DJ name for a decade now.  Though I usually get booked as "Dan the Illuminator" on flyers and such.

It's really nice of Amherst College to send out a notice stating that the Campus Center (and therefore WAMH 89.3 FM) are closed due to spring break so I don't have to waste my time driving there and trying to get.  Oh, wait. :palm:

^ That sucks.  I thought it was some problem on my end resulting me not being able to listen tonight.

Much to my delight, just figured out a way to listen to your show on my iPhone without rendering Safari useless on it.

How many times do you say "Dammit, Colin!" on air?

Also, how played out is the "1s and 0s" vs "1s and 2s" reference in the digital DJ world?
