June 29, 201510 yr Author Over the weekend one of the two cooling fans in my Macbook became REALLY LOUD. It's going in for service on Thursday (soonest appointment I could get.) I'll be without it for the better part of a week. That means no show next week. Hopefully there will be one the week after. Also, I need a Mac Mini. >.>
June 29, 201510 yr My McBook does this like once a year, it's his way of reminding me to clean the fans and the ventilation grid.
June 29, 201510 yr Author I took it apart and cleaned it pretty thoroughly. I had done so over the winter as well. The fan is no longer spinning on a constant axis, so it chatters and sometimes vibrates the entire machine.

August 3, 201510 yr Author Due to USB being a bit wonky and the Mixlr app being completely unable to cope with an audio source disappearing, the showreel for this past Friday is in two parts: Part 1 The last few minutes are the sounds of my window fan and me typing, as recorded by my lappy's built in mic. GG, mixlrr app. Part 2 ~1hr45min. Almost a whole show by itself.
