May 21, 20206 yr Author Old man music. David Gilmour can play a guitar. Apparently he and Roger Waters are still squabbling to this day. Some things are eternal. https://pitchfork.com/news/roger-waters-feuds-with-david-gilmour-over-pink-floyd-website/ Edited May 21, 20206 yr by Hopstretch
May 21, 20206 yr I deliberately didn’t post that because I’m embarrassed, like parents fighting in front of their children. So anyway, here’s Kawehi (starts out with her trademark silliness)
May 25, 20206 yr Benedict Cumberbatch mocking Roger Waters’ part, maybe. And I can’t believe they cut the last solo. Progressive metal (clean vox), with a video for the times:
May 29, 20206 yr I'm a big Rhiannon Giddens fan. I listened to this a few days ago, now again Looking at the health care personnel pics in that video I can't help thinking that it's been the same shit all the world around. Tough times, but as usual, only for some.
May 29, 20206 yr Tessa Lark She got an excellent review from The Absolute Sound, so I thought I'd check out her music before ordering the album: http://www.theabsolutesound.com/articles/fantasy-lark-yang/

I only recently discovered her (from Googling the snot out of St James Infirmary and finding that one she did with Jools Holland and Tom Jones, while looking for ideas on my own arrangement). Two things: 1 she will be streaming live on 12 June at 5pm PDT. From BandsInTown: Quote Hello Peter!Rhiannon Giddens is going to be live streaming a show. Rhiannon Giddens Streaming LIVE! May 30, 20206 yr Yup, I watched the NPR's show yesterday. My favourite is her first album "Tomorrow is my Turn". Not sure I can make the live stream the 12th, thanks.

June 2, 20206 yr She's got the Björk bangs. I think her playing is excellent. Like most prodigies, her early education and accomplishments are exceptional... it's funny that you can be blasé about genius in the performing arts because it is so commonplace. I'll get her latest album (Nightfall – Debussy, Satie, and Ravel) and let you guys know if it's any good. Edited June 2, 20206 yr by HiWire

It’s not just that, she obviously enjoys the music as much as I —as the audience member, not just me personally—do. I realize when I spoke, I was talking about her looks, but it’s really cute how joyous her playing is, too. I’m listening to her on Tidal right now, her playing is excellent.
