November 23, 200718 yr Author I haven't found a local dealer that carries Nixon yet. I've tried the various ski shops that their locator reveals, and they're all either closed, or they're farther than I've had a chance to go yet. That said, I'll probably buy an all-black "Rocker" sight unseen, and move up from there. And I'm also going to ask my housemate's sister whether or not she ever goes into Barney's (she lives in NY).
November 23, 200718 yr Cool, very nice watch. I was thinking of getting the same one, but it's not water resistant so it's a no go. Now I am thinking of getting the "The Block" as a work watch or something I can beat up and not feel bad. Anyway, post pics when you get it.
November 23, 200718 yr here is a cheap and crappy skeleton with tourbillon watch from ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/Detailed-SKELETON-100-REAL-One-Minute-TOURBILLON-WATCH_W0QQitemZ320184081489QQihZ011QQcategoryZ31387QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I wanna buy one just to take the movement out of the case and watch it for hours, given that the tourbillon actually rotates like it should. Tourbillons are badass to watch, you can watch them for hours almost.
December 5, 200718 yr Author Never mind, they posted it online: Barney's/Nixon collaboration Ordered, waiting. I've actually seen one in person -- they had it at a store in Georgetown. It's gorgeous. And huge. I will still probably collect some of the Nixon all-black collection, but this will be the cornerstone piece.

December 6, 200718 yr Author (shrugs) I don't know. Here is more information about the 51-30, of which this is a special edition.
December 6, 200718 yr the sub dial on the face is to tell you if either a high or low tide is in action and when each should go in or out. the crown at 8 is to set the sub dial (adjust the Tide dial). i never seen a outside bezel count down, usually it counts up. 47mm is a big ass watch!
December 6, 200718 yr Author 47mm is a big ass watch! It is. People are going to ask me what time it is, and I'm going to hit myself in the face just from sheer momentum.

December 24, 200718 yr Author I did find this one for dusty: http://www.amazon.com/Invicta-Collection-Square-Skull-Technofiber/dp/B000VR3W84/ref=sr_1_85?ie=UTF8&s=jewelry&qid=1198506299&sr=1-85There is a part of me that actually likes that watch, but I like the one you posted for yourself more. Except for that huge fucking knob. What is that, a doorknob? I know it's a "look", but I guess I'm just not the target market for that look.

December 28, 200718 yr Author I renamed this topic, since it's long since gone beyond just Fossil brand watches.
December 28, 200718 yr Author You know, the more I look, the more I think I need want a skeleton, and Invicta seems to be the way to go with skeletons, and this one appears to be the closest to my tastes -- is that the Russian Diver one that's just north of US$800?

December 28, 200718 yr that huge knob, especially the chain, is just awful. Agree, 100%, it kills what is otherwise a pretty cool watch. For me at least.

December 28, 200718 yr Shouldn't you be drunk and partying with the boss's wife? Shouldn't you be drunk and partying with the boss's wife? Home already, not drunk, have to work tomorrow.
December 28, 200718 yr Author Agree, 100%, it kills what is otherwise a pretty cool watch. For me at least. That's what I thought initially -- I mean, you could garrot a barbie doll with that chain -- but after some serious consideration, I think the rest of the watch outweighs that minor infraction. I mean, did you see the filigree/inlay/whatever on the "face" of the watch? It's gorgeous.
December 28, 200718 yr I ordered the silver skeleton Invicta i linked earlier in this thread today. thanks to Dusty for giving me the idea of going to amazon. i hope they ship it cause it says it was out of stock on shopnbc but not on amazon...i will find out in a few days though. of course if i do get it then you know you all will see pics.
December 28, 200718 yr Author "Silver"? Oh, you mean the other one on the watch you linked to -- because the link you gave us was a gold watch (as primary).
