Heh. Since this place is ALL about the controversy right now and it's open season on craziness, GIVE IT TO ME STRAIGHT DOC!

I loves my MPX3.

Ok, put the amp down and run. It is a ticking time bomb. Where are you by the way? I just want to... er... notify the authoritys of the danger.

Although the ever increasing prices of 6SN7's might give you a heart attack >:D

At some point I figure that sending it back to Mikhail for an upgrade to give me the other tube options will be cheaper than buying 6sn7's. That is if those tubes don't skyrocket also. Feh.

my ppx3 6sn7 isnt running a single 6sn7 tube ; ). I sounds better then ever... Adapters are expensive but so worth it... price and sound quality wise.... Keep in mind that I'm using primarily grados (so 5687's do something special here) .

Who voted "today". Now I'm gonna have to not touch my amp all day. Or can it be more like an arcing thing, tesla coil style. Oh god I've gotta get out of my house.

Mikhail is a salesmen..not a killer.

Amp shouldnt kill you but it will die of aged tubes eventually. dried caps will get it to...but SP will still be around and Mikhail will be more then happy to..i am sure...And this wont happen for alonggggg time.

Now I wouldnt worry about your mpx killing you but Rumor has it My Raptor is over your home and your soon to be locked in ..

good luck..dont leave the house all day!

Amps don't kill people, people kill people.

But people can kill people with amps... :P

I'll gladly get the danger away from you, but you have to give it to me now! :P

Well it was a trade for Pinkie, though if I can sell it within around a month he'd take about 500. :P

I have all EH tubes in now, so no way to get them out of order if they're all the same! ;D

I'll ask the guy what order they go in to be sure though.

I'll ask the guy what order they go in to be sure though.

Driver tube on the right, output tubes in center and left sockets. This is actually for the shortest signal path. Note the inputs are on the right, and the headphone jack on the left.

I bet the amp sounds really weird with the tubes in that order.

hehe... but a few years ago some people went on experimenting with different tubes for the left and right outputs and actually found combos they liked. of course, I still think that's pretty odd. :P

Don't set it on the edge of the bath tube while listening to it and you will be alright. And even if you did do that, and it fell in, you woulden't even notice the change in sound quality after a second or two. ::);D
