January 13, 200818 yr Author are they supposed to be Super Freqy? You can call the 800 number and ask them... It is 1-877-FREQ-LOVE (honestly)
January 14, 200818 yr Author How's the isolation compared to the Etys, Zach? Using my custom tips on the Etys they are about the same which is what I expected. The full ear impressions really don't offer better isolation just a slightly better fit.
January 14, 200818 yr I just found out that the company is located in Tampa, FL. I just invited them and LiveWires to CanJam. I may pay them a visit when I'm in Tampa next.
January 14, 200818 yr Author I just found out that the company is located in Tampa, FL. I just invited them and LiveWires to CanJam. I may pay them a visit when I'm in Tampa next. Where better to operate a hearing aid company than where all the old people are
January 14, 200818 yr Using my custom tips on the Etys they are about the same which is what I expected. The full ear impressions really don't offer better isolation just a slightly better fit. That's good news, I was only hoping that it wouldn't be worse.
January 14, 200818 yr Wow, they even look like they came from molds. Do you think they broke them when they were done?
January 14, 200818 yr Where better to operate a hearing aid company than where all the old people are Everyones a comedian around here. How about less comedy and more shipping of 10' of your best wire for the K1000.
January 14, 200818 yr Author Everyones a comedian around here. How about less comedy and more shipping of 10' of your best wire for the K1000. 10' eh... that would sure make a short cable
January 14, 200818 yr 10' eh... that would sure make a short cable Exactly, I want a K1000 with a 2 1/2' cable. I like to be close to the heat of the tubes when I listen.
January 14, 200818 yr Author Exactly, I want a K1000 with a 2 1/2' cable. I like to be close to the heat of the tubes when I listen. Fair enough... Florida does get rather cold.
January 14, 200818 yr It sure would be nice to have some Enigma Audio wired K1000 to bring to Mayberry for a showdown with those fancy Equinox guys. I guess I could just take the Senn cable you sent me and have it hardwired to my K1000. It would be a shame to not have that nice EA Senn cable to show off in Mayberry.
January 14, 200818 yr I lied, one more question, Zach. How far do they project from your ears? Bascially I'm looking for something that is a lot more flush than the ER4Ps and it looks the Freq's cable comes out at a bit of an angle and that has me curious.
January 14, 200818 yr Question from this side as well, do they sound more like the e500s or more like the etys or something else?
January 14, 200818 yr Author Nate, they really don't sit much more flush then the Etys with the current cable. Not with my custom tips anyway. The cable appears to be sturdy enough but I will certainly be sending them back to get upgraded when they decide on a new cable.
January 14, 200818 yr Hmm, that's not exactly what I wanted to hear but I may take a flier on them anyway. My experiment with the IM716 failed (they don't fit me well) and it'll cost me damn near as much to get custom molds made for my Etys.
