I've thought about making a pocketable, portable amp for Roon, does anyone have any ideas for a name?

The Rooney (any associations with the band of the same name are purely coindidental).

For those on the fence about getting a lifetime Roon sub, even I have a lifetime Roon sub.

Quit being poor.

Also, that Funcooker bit is brilliant; 30 Rock is one of my favorite shows.

Even I have the lifetime and I used the software once and never looked at it again.

Have you even listened to music in the past 4-5 years?

At least a couple of hours a day on the deck.

So I finally received my 5m RCA cable so I got the KEF subwoofer hooked up to the LSX ii's

It took a bit of moving stuff around as well as doing other shit like updating software on my two NAS. But this seems like a good initial location. I will definitely be moving it around over the next few weeks. I am also very much more impressed with the KEF Connect app. It made setting up the sub very good and provided initial crossover points and the crossover curve. All it required was the name of the specific KEF sub I was using. It does allow for changing all of those which I may end up doing later. Definitely makes the miniDSP less important at this point. The only thing I do not have is the measurement ability in my specific room. I guess I will use my ears for tweaking for a bit.

EDIT: Actually the hardest part of the setup was finding a place to store the shipping box.

I'll be playing that same game after tonight, but without the KEF connect app.

I have a older Roon Nucleus that has an HDD that I installed. I also have an iFi black label headphone amp/DAC. I connected everything to my audio system but I have forgotten how to do headphone listening easily. The black label is connected to the nucleus directly with a USB connection. If I go to my laptop to view Nucleus selections in my internal storage and click on one, should I be able to listen to it from a set of headphones connected to the DAC/Amp? This is embarrassing.

When it comes to integrating with my audio system it seems easier. I connect the Nucleus to my iFi amp/dac and then run analog RCA's to my preamp to listen to music.

The iFi is just a Roon endpoint. Choose it as the active endpoint in Roon , connect headphones and voila.
