jimmyjames8 Posted May 16, 2009 Report Share Posted May 16, 2009 One of the coolest album covers of all time. A musician friend of mine tried to turn me on to monk 25 years ago. At that time I didn't get it. Now I have them all. The Columbia reissues sound great. The wild thing about Monk is he recorded a bunch of his hits for Blue Note back in the late 40's and very few listeners got it. Asr Posted May 17, 2009 Report Share Posted May 17, 2009 The Crystal Method - Divided By Night I'm about halfway through the CD listening for the 1st time and I'm vastly unimpressed - seriously depressed, actually. This is the first TCM album I really don't like. Not sure most TCM fans will like this CD, it's a pretty far step from their previous work. Lots of vocals, not enough breaks and sampling.
