Happy belated, Larry. Enjoy the steak.
I finally got a call from the scammer who wants people to let him take control of their computer to fix all the security problems. Managed to keep him on the phone for seven minutes.
Successfully did my first century yesterday (102 mile actually) at 18.5 mph average!!! It was brutal with 15-25 mph winds almost all day; I'm really glad I survived. In fact, I soloed home ahead of my team as we had a straight headwind for the last 8-10 which blew apart the group into a million pieces. The key was following the biggest riders I could find
Thanks again for everyone who has supported me both by donations and by words of encouragement! Feels really good to not only complete my first century but to help a worthy cause. Cheers gang!
I'm pretty impressed with my Ortofon 2M Blue (with NAD 555), and it works off a normal phono stage unlike my Benz Red L that needs a higher gain moving coil pre-amp. I can't say the Benz is "hugely better" than the M2 Blue, which is a good bang for the buck. I don't know if you consider $225 for a new one a bargain cartridge though.
