  1. It went just fine and they've recommended my naturalization application for approval. Now I just have to wait for a letter to tell me when/where to go for my Oath of Allegiance. Hopefully, it's not on/around my son's due date. The whole process has been much quicker than I'd anticipated. It probably helps that I didn't have to go to the Boston office - they'd built another USCIS office right near me few years ago to ease the burden on the Boston office.
  2. I've undoubtedly made more Americans than anyone else here, and I've not been so happy about a single one of them as I am about you, Haj. Welcome.

Agreed on the good game, except for the fact that USA created extremely few chances to score. There were a couple at the end that were encouraging, but damn Germany can control the ball. I'd tell Uruguay to eat a dick, but they just might do it.
  4. http://www.pcper.com/news/Displays/Seiki-Announces-28-32-and-40-4K-Ultra-HD-Monitors-HDMI-20-and-DisplayPort-13 Quick Rundown: Seiki will introduce three different sizes including a 28-in (28U4SEP-G02), 32-in (32U4SEP-G02) and 40-in (40U4SEP-G02) offering with the following specs: Vertical Alignment (VA) LED panel technology with 3,840 by 2,160 4K Ultra HD resolution 12-bit color processing and 14-bit gamma mode HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.3(!), MHL 3.0, DVI and VGA standards display connections Picture-by-picture (x4) and daisy chain mode USB 3.0 hub (1 upstream and 2 downstream) VESA-compliant adjustable monitor stand with quick release Probably not going to be NEC quality, but for the prices they will probably ask, they'll be bang for the buck. 40" 4K? S'il vous plaît!
  5. Wow, that looks so much better than the food we have at the faculty club.
  6. Last lunch at Ms, had the duck confit, ny strip, and a meatball. Was pretty awesome.

  8. El reg ( http://www.theregister.co.uk/2014/06/26/erotic_teddy_will_lick_you_to_heaven/ ) picked up on this NSFW indigogo fundraiser. TMI ? https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/teddy-love
  9. Don't know where else to put thus, so why not a new thread. Tyll referenced this in his http://www.innerfidelity.com/content/headphone-news-june-2014 article, and I've seen it referenced elsewhere Marc Geiger's keynote from Midem 2014 is very accessible, compelling even, as he describes how the existing music business is facing "The Innovator's Dilemma" Lots to think about, and possibly agree with. Plenty of other interesting Midem presentations on the web (the website, youtube + slideshare.net) Discuss.
  10. Makes me so glad for my aging Sprint unlimited data plan.

I mustn't forget to add my praise to that heaped upon Kerry for this fantastic work. So impressive!

Well this is up and running... I decided to scrap my old hacked KGST boards and reuse the chassis. This one runs at +/-350V and sounds brilliant. Very stable too and no heat issues with the 2.5" sinks.
