  1. It would not have been as bad but they allowed people to leave the warehouse with items before purchasing so the first group grabbed everything and took it out into the store to go through to decide what they actually wanted. Everything else they would just leave out there and employees or other customers would pick it up. I actually started taking stuff out of the hoarders' piles and really pissed off some hipsters but I got a few things to make it worth my time.

  2. Those kinds of sales are aimed at customers that have more time than money. Jeff, I don't think that you fit the demographic.

  3. I can't imagine what I could save to make it worth my time. I'd rather pay more than go through that. I mean, unless it was Pliny and I was with friends.

  9. The board set is as the pcb GB. The overall amount of heat is the same, it is more easily dissipated. On the mains switch; the RIMS was to get away from the separate little LED for a change, but still keep the advantage of a large, easily operated pushbutton. And thank you for your kind comments.

  12. This does not surprise me in the slightest. When laws like Dodd-Frank pass, you just know it is a matter of time before it gets neutered by crooked politicians and the backers that got them into power. This is not just a U.S. thing. It is a by-product of globalization and loopholes that the big players get to take advantage of. I have no problems with very wealthy people having shit loads of money; I have a problem with the mentality of it being okay to fuck over loads of people to get there. I respect small and larger companies that work toward long term goals of slow steady growth and stability, but people like those in the linked article are loathsome.

  13. I have been running in my build and it sounds better than the first - really very pleased. I put a heat-sink across the middle and bolted the current sources to that so it runs cooler.

  16. We got Alden the Lenovo Y50 with the new 4K screen and the specs below. He likes it because he can crank up everything he plays to full resolution, but we like it because it is a solid work laptop too. Probably not the best choice just for doing bills, etc. • 4th Generation Intel Core i7-4710HQ Processor (2.50GHz 1600MHz 6MB) • Windows 8.1 64 • 15.6'' UHD LED MultiTouch Glossy (3840x2160) • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M 4GB • 16.0GB PC3-12800 DDR3L SDRAM 1600 MHz • 512GB SSD
