Went on a nice long bike ride with the family, with lots of uphill climbs to get here:

At Red Door in Chicago for brunch. This is carnitas with chorizo potato hash, avocado and chipotle hollandaise. And a side of house made kimchi. Fuck it was tasty.

Counter Coffee in Forest Park, IL gets an early morning shipment of them from Glazed Donuts in downtown Chicago every Sunday morning. They usually sell out in a couple hours.

so this has been kicking around for a while, decided to publish. take my ubaltobal converter, cut it in half, and then take the top piece, replace the input transistor with a tube... high impedance input... Spent the afternoon at Aardvark Baguette's house listening to his nearing finished setup. Took a camera to take pictures of the system but spent to much time in the listening chair to get the camera out. Sounded excellent with everything I put through it. Was there for another of Chris' patent pending "Deal of the Century Sales" at which I picked up the Hyper Spike rack for my work system and all the Dusty approved purple power cords needed to power the gear for about the price of the original sales tax on the rack.
