This is about the current flow through the headphones when there is no input. If you were getting rail voltages, the amp would be seriously broken. You calculate the curent flow through the impedance/resistor ( the headphones) by the voltage across the impedance/resistance divided by the impedance/resistance. i.e. I=E/R 2.27/50=0.0454A = 45.4mA. 2.34/562=0.0042A = 4.2mA If you had 30V into 35 Ohms = 30/35=0.857A = 857mA More realistically 2.27/35 = 0.0649A = 64.9mA.

It is, of course, anathema to suggest this, but I'ma do it anyway. I can't fathom a use for 1.8 watts (per channel!) into 600 ohms. A theoretical 600 ohm 90dB efficient headphone still hits 120+ dB at 1 watt, and since that theoretical headphone would have been manufactured by children in East Berlin, I doubt it's deserving of the claimed resolution. I wonder if a better design brief might sacrifice some output power in favor of size, cost, and legitimacy of parts.

You just need to reset your sarcasm filter, re-tune your senses of humour and the ridiculous, and enjoy the site for the endless hours of enjoyment that can be had sifting through the hype, trolling, rumour, innuendo, false information, logical disconnects, and fallacies which infest the threads in copious quantities.
