  1. Felder has a hell of a deal on the N2-35 bandsaw. If I could come up with the room I might add it to the collection to have a resaw bandsaw and a curvy bandsaw. Bandsaw with base for $999, or without base for $1350????
  2. I am listening to my favourite band in the world, because, due to my inability to get my act together, I am not in New Orleans with them, where they are performing tonight. I has a sad. Here's their latest song and video:
  3. You could also upgrade your cnc and save $18,000!
  4. ^There's something in their music that reminded me of The Alan Parsons Project.
  5. It would probably work, but I wouldn't call it a 'good' replacement. You would have to deal with a different package, higher Cob and lower Hfe. In theory any NPN with sufficient breakdown voltage can be used in that position, but since it is the only gain stage in the regulator (both the STN9360 and the SiC FET are followers) and consumes very little power, I tend to use lower current parts with potentially higher Hfe. The compensation cap value was designed for the KSC5026M, so if the replacement part has lower Cob, increasing that cap may be necessary for the stability of the circuit.
  6. At Hugo’s Bar and Grill Tuna Tartare “Nachos” Demi Salad Coq Au Vin and a Maple Crème Brûlée for dessert
  7. @VPI - like Doug and Steve recommended, even coating and allowing for even drying will be your best defense against cupping. For aesthetic purposes I usually go thinner for coasters than the above piece but that stock started 7/8” thick and I could only bring myself to surface it down to 1/2” (roughly) to get proportions close to what I wanted without feeling totally wasteful. And if you want some super weather resilient exterior coasters with designs on them just let me know and we can laser etch some glass for you.
  8. No complaints about the GOT season. I enjoyed it very much. Started The Peripheral over the weekend. Might this be the Amazon adaptation of a book from a beloved author that is worth watching? First two episodes have me very intrigued indeed!
  9. RIP to the Killer, Jerry Lee Lewis. Unbelievably talented player. I still love his music but he totally deserved the cancellation he brought on himself.
  10. A long belated RIP to a cousin by marriage....my Stepfather's nephew Barry, who was a musician under the name Barri. I found out from my Stepbrother just today that he had passed in 2020, apparently of some kind of cancer; he hadn't been in touch with the family in years so even my Stepbrother only just found out. I have one of his CD's, it's a pretty darn good and musical one of modern Reggae influenced by some Roots. This is a Promo pic from a single off his CD, he had dreadlocks down to his ankles!
