  1. Went to see Wicked Little Letters with Al, Claire, Dorothy, Joanne and Grahame. Then out for Ramen. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

  2. Keeping a sex slave seems to require more work than one would think. This is why I keep wine in my dungeon.

  3. This is funny, I just bought some SRD-7's to use as donors for my own boxes. A SR-Lambda was included with one of those energizers and just look at that serial number... Aside from the foam in the earcups being crusty and the earpads having been replaced at some point, they play perfectly for a 45 year old set.

  4. It's actually a small outside closet. Maybe 3' deep. They call it a root seller, though It's above ground. It posed a few challenges. The hinges had to be attached directly to the rock/concrete. But I have a demo hammer/concrete drill. We manged to fit the gate/door within a couple of millimeters. I of course made Al go inside to attach the screws from the hinges into the frame of the door. He loves spiders!

  6. Al and I built a new gate onto the dungeon entrance that houses Dorothy's sex slave. The last one broke loose and busted the old gate.

  7. It was transparently snarky. Let's see if I remember it verbatim. "Tell Ethan Nate says hi. Not really, I'm just dropping his name. (But I do really know him.) Honey Badger => Sugar Weasel => Agave Opossum?" It got me a quality 13" Sugar Weasel upper in 300 Blackout and that's good enough for me. It really looks like an SBR now. Thunder Chicken is on layaway, will start the process tomorrow. Unrelated: I got new wheels for my car -- Sparco All-Terrain Gravels. Looking at (super cheap) properties that only have dirt and gravel road access. Also: not in Warren fucking "Let's Go Brandon" territory County.

  8. A lot of money was spent on this and the amp is very nicely made in terms of the chassis design. All of the panels are 8mm thick with very nice machining on them but to take all this effort and waste it on a fundamentally flawed driver design... is just beyond me. The analog inputs go through those four dual opamps per side before it goes to the AKM A/D converter. The Xmos unit handles the USB a sample rate converter after it. The SPDIF input has its own sample rate unit too and all of this feeds into the ESS dacs. I always thought these would have a DSP but it appears to be all analog, unless there is a grunty chip hiding on the back of the board that I can't see. That does me we could make our own amps for these if we just clone the filtering circuit and add some adjustments to it. Not sure if there is any demand for that though.

  9. At least you don't have these lurking. They are prevalent in the area my daughter lives in. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sydney_funnel-web_spider
