  1. Ugh. Sucks, Jeff. On behalf of HC Chicago, here's hoping for a much better start for you!
  2. I'd prefer a sedan hatchback or a compact utility vehicle, but would probably buy the sedan also. I really hope AWD will be an option. I was hoping for much more information about these options. But with the Federal rebate probably phasing out around the time of the first wave of deliveries, I figured a refundable deposit was worth the risk. I liked everything else they announced.
  3. I actually bought a reservation online Friday AM.
  4. Shelly, that looks fantastic! I wish there was more than just a 'like' button. There should be a 'like ... a lot!' and a 'FUCK, YES!' button. This is a 'FUCK, YES!' post for me! Stretch, never heard of such a place, but wish we had one! 'Like .. a lot!'
  5. My internet is woefully slow in this place we're staying, and I can't watch any videos. I'll have to make a mental note to come back to this when we get back next week!
  6. My HC-like buddy Alex in Atlanta, roasting a giant rib eye in his Big Green Egg. Can't wait!
  7. I've had both GEICO and State Farm and have been happy with both. I currently have State Farm, and their price has been competitive. However, when I started, I sat down with my insurance guy and we looked for every possible discount I might qualify for one by one. I just looked online and see the following discounts on one of my cars, for a discount of about $330: Accident Free Discount Anti-Theft Device Discount Multiple Automobiles Discount Multiple Line Discount Vehicle Safety Discount Annual mileage
  8. Nice place! I spent many hours drooling in their Evanston store when I was a poor college student.
  9. Very nice vehicle for the money. We like ours a lot. QC could be better - nothing big, little things like a plastic panel that pops off here and there. But otherwise great driving dynamics, decent acceleration, really good technology. Just a really nice car to drive at the price point.
  10. I'd pitch in on that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I'll third that motion.
  11. Cool. Both nice cars! One can adjust to torque steer. Maybe even make it fun. The GTI apparently has minimal torque steer. Maybe Ford figured it out, too.
  12. Chris, did you ever get around to actually driving an ST? I think the torque steer may drive you crazy. AWD FTW! And ... The Beard! Agree with everyone else. Get the RS. Safer. Plus I'll bet you'd also just enjoy driving it a lot more because of the AWD. At least drive the ST before you decide.
  13. Missed a couple of days, as well. Happy belated, Nate!
