  1. Interesting. Wouldn't ceramic shatter also? Could soapstone be stabilized in some way? Or be cooled more gradually, or to a lesser degree? Lower temperature/higher pressure liquid nitrogen container? Other cooling materials like dry ice? Or is that colder?
  2. Mine's at my office, and I'm out of town at a meeting.
  3. Happy Bday!
  4. Dug up Julia Fordham's version off my hard drive that I forgot about. Not one of the greats, but not bad. Also found it on youtube:
  5. Happy Birthday!
  6. Really funny. I sent that link to my parents, who are getting my old iPad.

My High School GF's family kept a strict kosher kitchen. She generally kept kosher outside her home, too, but wasn't as strict as her parents. If she were to do anything to disrupt the family's kosher home kitchen, then she would destroy her entire family's kitchen. If she had a cheeseburger while out (she didn't, but used this example to explain the situation), she wouldn't be kosher for herself, but at least she didn't then screw up her whole family. I don't think it's all that uncommon, I seem to remember the conversation came up a few times in my childhood/teenhood. Not saying I agree with it, just that it didn't seem so uncommon. http://www.thejc.com/judaism/rabbi-i-have-a-problem/36263/is-it-hypocritical-keep-kosher-home-eat-non-kosher-out Oh, and I suppose that dating me wasn't all that kosher, either.
  9. ... and I learned a new word!
  10. Yup. ... and very nice in Hi Rez!
  11. Happy Birthday!!!
  12. Congrats, Jim and Peter!
  13. Yeah, exactly. Amazing, the domino effect he's had.
  14. Damn, looks like he's going to Miami. Which made Washington over pay to get RG3, which takes RG3 away from the Browns! Sucks to be a Browns fan!

    Shit, now I'm really hungry!
  16. Damn, Bryan! You are one serious beer drinker! Just know that I appreciate all that you do to get great beer for me to drink!
  17. I guess you REALLY can't change your mind now! And I can't switch to a Verizon 4G now. Oh well, one less thing to obsess about.
  18. Wow, just got an email saying mine shipped already. ETA March 16, of course!
  19. That could be really useful. I wonder if I should switch my pre-order from the wifi only to the wifi/Verizon 4G ... I have Clear now, and have been happy with it lately. But this might increase my options down the road ... Have people been happy w/ their Verizon LTE service? Fast? Generally, a good available signal? Widespread availability of signal?
  20. http://www.gottabemo...-lte-data-plan/# Interesting. I guess we'll have to wait and see, but I'd think the term 'mobile hotspot' would imply wifi? Maybe?
  21. Interesting. Didn't know the iPad could project a wifi signal.
  22. Eh? Wirelessly? Or via the dock?
  23. A little confused, which part is free? So can pay the cheapest monthly fee for iPad data, but then be able to use your Verizon phone as a Wifi hotspot for the iPad at no extra charge (if you're paying for data on your Verizon phone)?
  24. Reinstall?
