If they were the AU265's I'd have picked up another pair to use as rear surrounds...heheh

The ultimate DIY? A Stax SRM-T2!
I'm not even in the running for a T2, yet I'm interested in the volume knob. Is that wrong?

What did you do today?
That someone is Mary Schmich: Advice, like youth, probably just wasted on the young - chicagotribune.com Grats Duggeh, on having the courage to change your path when you were unsatisfied rather than just going with the flow. I don't think I could do that if I were in your shoes.

I think I spent a good hour or so on mouser's site before I gave up and pulled out the dead tree version. Pulled up the data sheet for the EOL'd version and went from page to page until I found one that had the same size/dimensions. Turns out that giant catalog is good for something after all Definite kudo's to Nate as well! Hopefully everything will show up in time for a weekend build then I can have an amp to run headphones with (currently ampless, heh)

I'll have to file that fact away for future reference, at this rate pretty soon I won't have to order from digikey anymore! I ordered the Panny's from Digikey since I had a couple items I needed to get from them anyways. Thanks dsavitsk and TomB for the great support, looking forward to building this loooooooong amp!

About the only thing item I couldn't find was the switch, I looked up the sizes and 108-1AD1T1710-EVX looked like had the same pin spacing so I went with that. Funny enough your mouser project email came in right after I clicked order

As for the speaker it's currently an old Energy center channel but once I get the time I'll be building a ZA5.3c MTM Center channel to replace it; hopefully I can tint my cherry veneer to the reddish-orange color that my AU265's have.

PS 1000 break in
My curiosity about the GS/PS1000 was piqued after reading this thread, so I went over to headroom to check out the frequency chart. Holy shit, you folks weren't kidding about the hump in the bass and treble: Wow.

Deals
In case anyone was wondering, the deal doesn't include B-stock items; I called to ask and they said no. In other news I picked up an UPA-1.

av suite malware attack
Boot the system using UBCD and run Malwarebytes directly from there. The virus/malware can't block it if it's not running
-
So I'm sort-of in the market for a new speaker amp.
I'm thinking of picking up an UPA-1 from Emotiva for center channel duties, the reviews seem decently positive. You can definitely switch off the blue lights and meters.
