  3. You'll be behind the MacBook struggling with the software? And there's always some efficient speakers at CAS. Zu will spinning the indie vinyl, etc.
  4. Amazon Prime.
  5. True, though something tells me it shares some of the comedy/drama confusion. Will definitely check out Zoo. Any episodes focused on American dentists yet?
  6. Nice. You so have to see White God!
  7. Starting a thread without a date in the title, so it can be bumped in the future instead of creating a new one each year. Was just talking with another yesterday - it's that time of the year. Who else is going to the California Audio Show August 14-16, 2015? Info: https://caaudioshow.com Exhibitors list: https://caaudioshow.com/cas6-exhibitors
  8. So the BSA's previous stance resulted in 70% of troops run by religious organizations, became more conservative, couldn't keep up with society, and now some of those organizations are threatening to leave. Ah the dangers of choosing the wrong side. I've written one peice of hate mail in my life and it was years ago to the BSA (they were requesting donations to fight "outsider influence" on this issue) so it's funny to see them suffering now, but obviously also sad to anyone who grew up in the scouts as I did. Also props to the Girl Scouts for not going down this path. EDIT: Here's the announcement. For all the talk of "doing what's best/right" in scouting (anyone remember the anti-piracy/copyright badge?) it's a practical speech. "What are we gonna do? Hey, lawsuits!" Still... change from the inside. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6uTnjI6szUQ
  9. So account started reworking today, but to keep it fun all emails now appear in the delete directory/folder. Well, it's mostly spam anyway. Keep it real MS!
  10. It's been awhile since I used it, but last time I had a Windows machine I cared about ESET (commonly referred to by it's antivirus NOD32 name) was a great resource light option. And I say that working for a competitor.
  11. Officially the Latter Day Church isn't happy (whose members account for a 17% of all scouts and an even higher percentage of troops). They may very well be posturing before caving, but evidently the BSA vote was done during the time of year when most weren't meeting. Requested delay. Didn't get. Lost vote. Oops. http://www.mormonnewsroom.org/article/church-re-evaluating-scouting-program

  14. On Friday, 7/24, MS switched my Hotmail account, where I send anything that may generate spam, over to Outlook Mail (Preview). Since then no email, spam or otherwise, has soon in the browser, nor mobile app. Web search for others problems shows nothing specific about Friday, but some down today, which is possibly par from most days. Anyone else have problems? EDIT: It could be a lower max mailbox size limitation implemented on the automatic user switch. That would be very MS.
  15. Have a great day!

  17. I know from posts in the Listening thread there are members that still subscribe to B&W's Society of Sound, but it's been many years since it's been discussed and a few since an album has been released I cared much about (to be fair that's coupled with the raise of streaming services). Anyway, my subscription is about to expire and curious if others are still excited about their 24-bit releases?
