Paul Motian passed away a week ago and Fresh Air had a nice tribute/older interview that hit upon Bill Evans, Monk, and Keith Jarrett. Worth a listen. "I'm not a showpiece drummer. ... I feel like I should accompany them, and I should accompany the sound that I am hearing and make it the best that I can — that I can do."
