^ Also didn't know, though his newer store never felt the same and he certainly talked about his kids a lot. Also there went the Nottingham connection.

Worked a holiday event this morning and holiday music is now lodged in my brain so might as well begin the sentimental (in the best sense) outpouring. Starting with Tracey Thorn's Tinsel and Lights...

They'll sound 75% of the new Orpheus at 1% of the cost.

Do we know we apps he’ll be running? In case it helps at all, here’s a recent M1 Air review driving photography. https://fcracer.com/macbook-air-m1-late-2020-review-for-travel-photography/

The San Francisco Symphony’s “Deck the Hall” Convert will be broadcast today and will be available free online for anyone wanting to get in the spirit. https://www.sfsymphony.org/Watch-and-listen/Events/Deck-the-Hall The orchestra’s annual “Deck the Hall” concert has been downsized to 16 instrumentalists (and one accordionist), 12 choristers (plus the San Francisco Boys Choir), and no live audience members. Conducted by Daniel Stewart, hosted by Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser, and narrated by Raj Mathai.

Another voice for Regas. Although slightly different models existed at the time, my hunt came down to two brands. I went the other route (Nottingham), but have many times thought I should have gone with the set-and-forget Regas. There were some crazy P8 sales recently, but they seem off now. Even the 1s sounds great last I heard it.

My opinionated counterpoint: Nooooo! Disney+ is the worst. It’s like porn in that you get tired of really quickly. Hell, the desertscape of Apple+ feels like it has more potential at this point. Hulu+ is for cordcutters, though is repositioning for their constant sale. They’re also the premiere distination for horrible Xmas movies (though Netflix is challenging). Also Fargo! HBOMax is, of course, solid and has supplemental content from Turner Classics and Studio Ghibli. Netflix and Amazon are admittedly racing to the bottom, though both countering in producing, or usually buying, decent original content. Criterion is Criterion, the best... that we all don’t watch enough of. Kanopy, if your local library supports it, is free and not far behind Criterion and Turner.

Isn't just like HBO productions, Netflix and Prime originals, Apple+, etc.? Here: the FX/Hulu Fargo season finale.

As I continue to try to spend peoples money, should anyone's interest in mics be excited recently, looks like the Aston mics are on sale everywhere. Aston Stealth down to $279-299 and Aston Origin $299.

I've seen more [virtual] concerts during the pandemic than the last five years combined and the best by far was Idiot Prayer - Nick Cave Alone at Alexandra Palace (said by a non-Cave fan). Streaming now with vinyl coming in a couple days.

RIP David Prowse https://www.theguardian.com/film/2020/nov/29/darth-vader--dave-prowse-dies-aged-85?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other Had the pleasure of interviewing him for my high school paper in ‘84 or 85. Said he wanted to be cast as James Bond in the future.
