RIP Bart and Bill.... I was watching that 1986 game. His name will so often be associated with that game and what could have been....but, it was other decisions before that play that helped cause the meltdown. Pitching decisions left a lot to be desired that day.....

I wish I had been able to get a picture of it, but was driving by it.... On the way home today from our Maine condo, we passed construction area on the highway In MasNoNoNoNoNoNosetts. Two large cranes were parked there, and someone had strung up two American flags on the cranes. Just thought it was a great thing to do..... EDIT: totally forgot about the sa-chu edit! ?

Tilt was wild.....his voice was pretty amazing as well. Wasn't he supposed to be kind of a "crooner" type early on? I think he was being groomed to be one of those easy-listening/ballad type singers. I'd say he "somewhat" veered from that path.

Tough game for the Sharks today. Some definite questionable hits knocked two of their players out....and I think the refs are afraid to call anything that will favor them too much now... I have to say that - with the exception of Evander Kane - I pretty much like everyone on both teams. I USED to like Kane, he had an incredible KO against perennial scumbag Matt Cook after the Bruins were neutered from being able to do anything to him. But he's not been the cleanest or nicest player or teammate on and off the ice for a while now. Too bad....still has some good talent.

Yay for the Bruins! One of the best things about them advancing is watching the renewed butt-hurt from Toronto "fans" In quotes because while so many are great, it is incredible how many are whiny bitches, along with the media. It was actually funny to have a large group of folks in Canada thanking the Bruins for knocking the Maple Leafs out. Too much "center of the hockey universe" mentality they said. San Jose gets more ref luck to help win a game. But hats off to them, they ARE winning; Couture is having a fantastic playoffs. I have a feeling it'll be the Sharks and Bruins in the Finals, but I'm open to either team from the West getting in.

The Elacs are such great over-achievers! Used to own the Debut 6's, now have the 6.2's after hearing them at a dealer. Yet another thing I bought but haven't used yet ?

FWIW, there's some good press on the (latest revision) of the SMSL SU-8 DAC. ESS 9038PRO chipset, remote control with preamp out. I have one that hasn't left the box yet. If it's for you Bryan (IE, the proverbial "friend") I can lend it to you for a bit.... Normal cost is I think $250.....sometimes on Massdrop for $200 or so.

Awww, dang.....Tim Conway, too! SOOOO many memories of Carol Burnett show.... RIP to a truly great comedian!

RIP Doris, sweet and beautiful..... Already said my RIP for Peggy above, but had totally forgotten she was married to Quincy Jones, and mom to Rashida Jones (who I have loved in all but the last season of Angie Tribeca)

My wife is awesome. For our engagement, I bought her the ring, and she bought me a pair of Legacy Classic Kevlar's. The coherence of that speaker to sound almost like a point source was amazing. Long since sold as house/room redesign made these impossible to place...but always loved the Legacy sound (still have a pair of Studio HD's as well).

RIP....as a kid I used to love Wild Kingdom....never really lost my fascination with animals.....

I would recommend the Dell's or Lenovo's. I HAVE had an IdeaPad (Core i7 5th Gen), and had no issues with it. But sounds like Doug has, or has heard of enough..... Haven't used Toshiba's for years, liked their business models but the consumer models were hit and miss. And I will never buy an HP laptop, I DO believe they are mostly trash for longer-term use.
