IIRC, Pure Direct outputs turns off or bypasses certain circuits (video circuits bypassed for audio and vise versa).

Has anyone tried T50RP with different ear pads? I've been enjoying my modded pair, but one thing that bothers me a bit is that ear pad openings are not quite big enough to completely go around my ears. I know Smeggy has SR-007 pads on his pair, but I'm looking for something that doesn't cost more than the actual cans (and doesn't require modding the housing shape).

I've always loved the muted brass sound. When I used to play trombone, using mute was one of my favorite things to do.

I know, I know, but I like the Duet just fine and $1200 I could spend on the player would go a long way toward things like getting insulated windows, a new stove for the kitchen, etc.
