Let's see if I can remember everything. Purchased: I bought several turntables, and ended up building one and selling the others. I conned Marc into building all the essential paraphernalia needed for a vinyl rig. I purchased a vintage Sansui tuner that I really like, purchased an Opera Consonance integrated amp and some Omega speakers. I had a TPA Darwin balanced source selector built. I bought a pair of Sennheiser HD 580, NAD RP18, Yamaha HP-1, APS recabled Ety ER4P & Klipsch Image X10 headphones/IEMs. And just recently I bought my first AKG K1000. Sold: I sold my long term Paradigm Reference Active 20 monitors, my PS Audio PCA-2 preamp, TPA Zapfiltered Opus DAC. And quite recently I sold my beloved AKG K340, Chocolate Donut MkII, AKG K240 Sextett, NAD RP 18 & Yamaha HP-1 headphones.

I didn't actually buy them, but a trade out is close enough. K1000 bling bling baby! It's goint to allow me to run the K1000 off of the speaker taps of the Beta22 (or Consonance integrated), and just unplug it to use the front mounted XLR jacks for other headphones. And it looks teh shit!

They're plastic, bur far from flimsy IMO. I'm assuming you mean the tweeter plate. The binding post plate is very stout. Earl how many sources do you have? I think it's a Unico Reks. Very nice!

Well I'm not stuck on the multiple driver idea, I just wondered if it would work better. I may just stick with a tried and true single driver design.
