  1. I had an opportunity to listen to this amp at the recent Atlanta meet. It was brought by Tom B. and I was very favorably impressed by how well it sonded, I also like the form factor.
  2. Just sit back and enjoy them when you receive them.
  3. Thanks gtp, cheers!

  5. Happy B-Day!
  6. Hi Jeffrey, did you buy an R10 for your wife? She really seemed to liked it.
  7. Thanks Brent and I hope to see in the next Florida meet, will not be able to make it to CanJam10.
  8. It was a great meet specially meeting so many new people. I really loved the sound from dsavitsk new dac/amp combo as well as Fitz amp which he used to drive his K1000. I tell you if he wishes to sell I would like an opportunity to buy it, it is that good. Of course for me the best part of the meet was seeing my family in Atlanta and finding out that the chemo is working and my dads tumors (2) to a returning renal cancer have shrunk significantly (or so the oncologist says). Oh yeah!
  9. Happy B-Day, sorry for the lateness.
  10. Marantz 2238B for the office, I plan on getting an spare DAC as a source from the PC using iTunes. For now I am using a plain line out dock out of an iPod and an HD580. To my ears it sounds very good and I hope to fix the blown lights on the front panel. I would also like to use it to amp an AKG K1000. Has anyone used an old receiver to amp a K1000? Thanks. Those LCD-2 sure look nice, and I hope to be able to listen to them one day. Enjoy them.
  12. That is indeed a beautiful looking amp! I find the Mapletree sound very musical and engaging with Grados. Fantastic work, hope you enjoy the heck out of it. Cheers.
  13. Ok, and enjoy your new toy.
  14. Rachmaninov: Symphony #2 In E Minor, Op. 27 - Adagio
  15. Fetus here, at least for a few minutes then turn and toss back to fetus. Repeat a million times every night so I wake up feeling I just exercised.
  16. Mike, if you don't mind using old gear I have a circa 1986 Adcom GFA-555 at 200 wpc and a matching GFP-555. I am not currently using either and they have been in my closet for at least 8 years. You can borrow it for a month or so. Cheers.
  17. Happy B-Day!
  18. I do listen at low volume. For example I am currently listening to the D5000 via an X-Can V2 and even though the gain on the V2 was reduced (mod at Rock Grotto) the volume knob indicator is still under 8:30 o'clock.
  19. After stopping at a Cuban bakery for cuban coffee (espresso w/ lots and lots and even more lots of sugar) I washed and waxed the Beetle, it is beautifulllllll ....
  20. Krap lover here! I am one of those who prefers the modded Denon to the R10. Cheers! Dinny, if you need an AKG balanced 4-prong plug to 1/4" let me know. I loaned mine to Aaron (immtbiker) and I do not believe he is currently using it so he may be able to ship it to you.
  21. The Look Of Love by Valerie Joyce.
  22. While working overseas I used this type of A/C in both office and home environments. They work fantastic and are much cheaper than traditional style A/C, and they are much quieter than window shakers. Enjoy your new A/C!
  23. Vicky glad you got your iPhone back! You are right, that mom deserves kudos. Besides work I took my 70 Beetle for a tune-up including valve adjustment. All is good now.
  24. Isabellina HPA, 2nd time around.
  25. What! 2 years! amazing hope you enjoy it.
