Based on the above choices, and assuming your setup is biased towards computer as source, I would recommend the Lite DAC-AH as a source and M3 as an amp. Alternatively, the Gilmore Lite is a good choice for a desktop amp as well as outlined above. Just a warning for you: you will need a soundcard that will output a bit-perfect signal. Assuming you don't have one already, you could pick up a chaintech av-710 for $30 or so ..and I would recommend a nice coax or toslink cable for around the same price.

I do agree with this comment. However, I must say that alot of the threads started on this forum were necessary. Many of us were not aware of certain manufacturing faults of RSA and other manufacturers until they were brought up here. For this information I am grateful. However, I will be honest and say that i've found myself browsing head-case less frequently than head-fi, and not because I think head-fi is inherently better. It's just that although there are idiots, useless threads, fanboyism, and censorship on head-fi I find more substance there. I am aware that this is a new forum so substance in head-fi's favour is a given (more threads available, more members, more activity) . Nevertheless, there is some truth in the fact that when I browse head-case I do see alot of complaining and controversy over the politics of head-fi. Not to say that this aspect should be removed from head-case entirely, but as stated above, it can get to a point where things become overbearing. I was hoping that head-case would be a better head-fi in the sense that we would be able to say what we want (which we can, and this is good) and have the types of discussions related to the hobby we are all so interested in, without abusing the freedom to 'express' our concerns. Unfortunately, I cannot judge others because I haven't given too much to this forum in the area of useful information or threads, but will seriously consider doing so if I see threads that warrant a useful reply. Until then, I will be a lurker.
