and now for something completely different part 3
Nice! So the trafo is in this box not in an outer case. Would be nice a picture from the front too.

ASR tested the Drop version, maybe the same. Does not recommend for any price 🙂 for parts?

The Multi Amp aka Dynalo Mk2
Skooby somwehere back in the thread. This is a nice sturdy box using it as heatsink is a good idea.

- The Multi Amp aka Dynalo Mk2
I had tried both then with the 3 oz board there was not much difference the onboard regs were a bit better. The big difference was to attach the transistor's heatsink to the box to drive the heat out. It may depend on what box you use that from the group by was good for this. I wrote about it then The little amp is at my bed sometimes I forget to switch it off. There was not problem with it for about five years(?).- The Multi Amp aka Dynalo Mk2

Funny:) I think for the existing AIs it is easiest to be funny than design a working circuit. There are a lots of funny people in the internet for source. How long?- AI
i have not think it will design the circuit this AI is a chatting machine learn from all the chats from the internet. (my keyboard is bad so there will be mistakes) I read about AI circuit design it exists. But it is f*cking good from this standpoint. I think I found its main source for the circuit but the result was not the same. I was awed but I like it because I can use it not for this day to day.- AI
I do not remember I ever started a topic but I am here for a decade or more. I am playing with google AI for a time and I like it. I left out chatgpt so this is new for me. I liked to think I am good to search info from the internet but this thing is so much better. Specifications, go not go situations with some equipment so much easier to resolve. I was curious I asked to design a opa548 virtual ground circuit for me ( this is why diy) and I built it. Not so complicated circuit, I built it and almost worked. The problem maybe was the messy breadboard not the AI, a pin had to be grounded to stabilize the opa. I was a software developer, supporter all my time so I know this AI something like a mirror for as so it is about as stupid as us.- What Are You Building Today
I can second this- finally an electrostatic transportable
These are DC-DC converters- The Headcase Stax thread
This can be a bit more complicated for example HCl is toxic in a short term NaCl is maybe in a long term Antimony is in some solders and it can react in the real world so it depends. Afaik AOT is not toxic. I think you can not solve directly the powder in alcohol you have to make a colloide with very little particles. So I thought that solution may be available. I am only curious I do not need this in the minute and I do not want your "secrets" I asked about kitchen tuning because @Kung's highly pro achievements what I admire are definitely not available for me.- The Headcase Stax thread
My weakness I do not know these code words: ATO, AE07. I learned chemistry in a few decades ago if not in English. .... I googled some Fatty Alcohol Polyoxyethylene Ether and antimony doped tin-oxid. Where can you get these for kitchen tuning?- chinese garbage
I can not make myself to read this shit not interested. What is strange it is the third bullshitter in a short time perhaps from the same source.- The ultimate DIY? A Stax SRM-T2!
Your style is not acceptable here- What TV show are you watching now?
Was not bad but this aussie series is not worse. It is from a Jane Harper book and from her other books were made some enjoyable movies.- KGSSHV Carbon Build Thread
- finally an electrostatic transportable
High octane not high voltage.- finally an electrostatic transportable
Only a few years yet As I remember this is a two decades project. To be powerful enough to drive an sr-007, min 10 hours battery time, portable, diy-able, affordable ... Too hard.- KGSSHV Carbon Build Thread

Died by age not by usage I think. My carbon was rarely used. I have the same problem, same caps, all four are bad. Bad quality so who got these caps from the same group buy have to be cautious. My amp is taken apart on my workbench for months I have more serious problems, illness in the family. I hope I can continue the repair in the near future.- KGSSHV Carbon Build Thread
I think my caps came from the group buy organized by @sorenb in 2015. 680u 550v from "FTcaps Germany". (These were overkill because my carbon was 400v). Maybe bad apples or any other cause, the bought volume was enough for more than 10 carbons. I think I would replace the caps in your place in the positive supply too, less fuss.- KGSSHV Carbon Build Thread
Congratulations! I have the same problem with my carbon. Both of the big capacitors in the negative supply died. It happened a few months ago but I can not persuade myself to start the repair until now. As I checked it again I see one of the capacitor in the positive supply is bulging too. These are from the first group buy I think. Where are yours from? So the advice is replace all the sands (and check the passives in between) the less time consuming? ; - The Multi Amp aka Dynalo Mk2
