  1. That's a slick design! Looks like you were able to pull it off nicely.
  2. I would definitely buy in bulk. Leaves me with some extras anyways. Did you contact Sanyo for authorized distributors in North America?
  3. arg. I guess I will have to build a KGSSHV supply for this purpose?
  4. So, I bought some C3675 and A1486 from utsource, after seeing that they have it in stock in cheaper prices than bdent, and that this particular distributor seem legit from comments on diya. I initially thought that all of these are fakes because of the uneven epoxy coating on the back side of the a1486 part; but measuring them gives me a minimum hFe of 30, a maximum of 67, while most of them have a reading about 60. Similarly, most of the C3675 I got have a hFe reading around 58-71. So both of these devices are within tolerance. Are there any reasons why I should not be using these devices?
  5. A whole bunch of C3675 and A1486 from utsource.
  6. I think you ordered about the same time as I did. Just got my shipping notice last night, so it shouldn't be too long for yours to be shipped. I'm seriously not looking forward to the custom fees on this one...
  7. ^^You should put a set in the kgsshv!
  8. Whoa. Pretty.
  9. That's great to hear. Can't wait to get my paws on them! >:]
  10. You obviously did not read enough to get to know the people here...
  11. Happy birthday!
  12. II'm sure lil'knight has extra boards, if not I have a spare set you could take. Edit: you could take both our sets if you need it.
  13. Yeah, I just wanted to use a wima cap there. If I have my computer here then I can just check the board for the distance, but I don't have he tools while I'm traveling... Need the measurement so I can make the TAW order.
  14. Well, I'm looking at the power supply image, and assuming the lead spacing for the .1uF cap is 27.5mm and 22.5mm, the .22uF cap looks like it is setup for a 27.5mm lead spacing part than a 22.5mm part... Just want to make sure, because TAW electronics does not have 22.5mm wima cap in stock.
  15. Could somebody verify the lead spacing for the .22uf/1000V cap for me? It looks like 27.5mm but I am not sure?
  16. that knob looks great, especially with the tube bases.
  17. Uhh, use FA as oppose to RA heatsink for 2.5 inch heatsink at mouser or wait til 19th for the aavid parts get restocked at digikey. 4170G might be too wide - 13.97mm width of the pads vs 12.7mm distance between the mounting holes. Its better to get 4171G at future electronics. FQPF8N80C available at mouser.

  22. Don't forget Engraved knobs!
  23. Awesome. Soon you'll be the first person to have two DIYT2 in his possession!
  24. Looking good! Double T2 FTW! Did you use some sort of heat transferring compound on the devices?
